Sorry. That was very cheerful. I will try and tone it down...

ok, now I have a cup of tea :)

New here and new to vaping. Couple of weeks ago I purchased a disposable e-cig at Walgreens (blu), then a couple at the gas station. Invested in a kit at the local tobacco store. It is a Cig2o. I am liking it and am looking forward to getting some refillable cartos and some fancy liquids. Portland, Oregon doesn't seem to be much of an e-cig town but I know there are some out there, just have to find them!

Been a light smoker on and off for 18 years (took a break for pregnancy and nursing for my two kids). I am one of those people that likes to smoke but doesn't like the ash/butts/smell etc. so this seems like the perfect solution to me.

I am looking forward to wandering around the site and learning lots of information. I feel that I am finally getting a hold of all the terms. There is so much more to learn than "Camel Light 99s please".

I am also looking forward to purchasing one of those vaporizers that look like little telescopes in metal. I don't know what they are called so let me know if you know one that is great!

I'm wondering if you're talking about an ego/Riva/kgo type little metal telescope, or about a different mod. Either way, spend some time here reading before you move onward to a different model. I personally like the ego/Riva type of setup for its variability, size, and its inexpensive price, but at the same time, everyone's got different tastes in what they find works for them. There is no one solution, so read up! :)

Regardless of where you go from here in your ecig choices, congratulations, and welcome to ECF!

On another thread someone mention Pravari. I goggled it and that is what I am talking about.

I bought enough of the pre-filled cardos for a month so i figured I would have read enough by then to decide if I am happy with what I have or if I want to mix things up. I am also hoping to attend a get together at some point so I can see what everyone else is using.

Telescope sounded like a GG. I thought you were aiming high, lol.
Welcome, though. You'll get as many recommendations for a proper PV as there are people on this site.
Look at a bunch of them. There are a lot of really nice options if you want an upgrade without jumping straight into a Provari.
If you want to get your feet wet with variable voltage, might want to take a look at the Lavatube or Tox type VV's.
They're about 1/3 the price of a Provari and will keep you from burning up cartos and attys, which is a common newbie mistake.

The Provari is a mod, at or near the top of the Pyramid.

The book on recommendations to newbies is to not advise quantum leaps—which a move from a gas station M402 or whatever to a Provari would be—but I don't of a necessity agree. If I'd gone for a Buzz (another variable-voltage mod) to begin with, I could have saved myself an expensive journey, bouncing from one devise to another.

Having said that, you might want to try one of the eGo/Riva types Ladypixtel was talking about before launching yourself hog-wild. You can do that pretty cheaply with one of these Riva Lite Bundles: Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510
