i am just trying these atomizers after owning this Hello 016 for 2 months and they taste like a strong obnoxious trash fire, does this go away? when? i was only using cartomizers with it until today

Sounds like they've dryed out and your're burning the filler of the cart. Did you top them off before vaping?
I would agree it sounds like they are hella dry - you arent using hte SAME carts without refilling them right?
Never vaped pure(ish) glycerin, so I have no idea what it would taste like. Sounds like you're just tasting hot atomizer though. Order some flavored juice would be my suggestion.
You can get flavored juice WITHOUT nic if you want - really Id get that or ask in the DIY forums about making your own concoctions. I;ve also never vaped pure PG or VG and Im not sure if Id mix it with water anyway unless its so viscous that it was causing you issues.

maybe the glycerin was just too thick to reach the coil, i recall hearing that one should us at least 50% PG to wet the atomizer.
and now i remember why i stopped using atomizers at all, i tend to angle the ecig down and when i do the atomizer will flood

I "angle" mine down all the time... I use a Fist Pack. Doesn't really make that much difference unless I've dripped and then set it aside before vaping. Gravity does work... even with attys.
just a thought, maybe my 5 old 510 atomizers are still usable because i most likely tested them with VG instead of PG, i hope 
Before you use the others, I would at least blow the old juice out of them. Actually, I would most likely blow a mouthful of warm water through them, then keep blowing air until they sound like they're dry. That should take care of it, unless there is a really stubborn flavor in them.
By the way, leaving some PG or VG in them before storing them was a good thing. From what I've read, nichrome can rust. That foul-tasting "shipping fluid" that needs to be blown out of a new atty is supposed to be plain PG put in there at the factory. It's just old and funky-tasting.
