Looking to switch from tobacco to vapor.

Thinking about starting with a mad vapes gripper.

Want to make sure I have everything I need to get started and everything is compatible.

Here is my proposed order -
GripperAG-126 Lithium Ion Battery Charger2 x IMR 18350, LiMn 800mAh Battery, Flat Top
4 x Single Coil Stainless Mega XL Cartomizer, 1.7 Ohm
A few bottles of e-liquid, 5mill x 18mg

Anyone have any recommendations for changes or advice?

Thanks.

From MV:
"The Gripper with just a Carto installed has a tight draw. To add a lighter draw, add a 510 to 510 shorty extension to the end of the carto, this increase airflow with minimal height added. The Gripper extension, sold here also, allows the use of eGo tanks, cartos and other devices which fit beautifully."

You're also going to need an atomizer to test new juices rather than fouling up a carto with some foul tasting juice- attys easier to clean. Understand also you only going to have 4 cartomizers. Realize I have NO experience with this device

I'm not familiar with that model, but looking at the site it appears you have everything you need. I'm not 100% sure about the cartomizers, as the listed compatibility I found is (source:ecigwizard):
The following cartomisers which will work with this mod:

XL Boge Standard
XL Boge Low
Dual Coil XL

Though it also lists that any carto, at least 44mm will work.

Sure, suggestions...

Get a range of nicotine levels. Get a range of flavors.

Getting all your first bottles in the same nicotine level and the same type of flavor can be very frustrating.

I'm firmly in the camp of, "The hardware matters less than the juice," also known as, "The juice is key", club.

Also, once you get the gripper, start looking for backups. You'll want backups...

When I first began vaping I immediately burnt 2 out cuz I didn't know how to first fill properly. If there's not enough juice in the bottom of carto- filler will burn and/ or coil/ element will burn out. Like I sai9d I'm unfamiliar with that model but here's cartos you may want to consider- cheaper and they're my # 1 choice for my 3.7 volt.

Realize though they may not extend out of the gripper enough and you'll need the extender- best to ask MV. Also "IF" you want to put a tank on these it won't work cuz they are wrapped in black plastic. We use the plain stainless steel ones with tanks.
As for longevity keeping the carto filler wet will determine how long they last- you should get about a week with each one.

OK, thanks guys. I really appreciate the "juice is the key" advice from Hoosier as well as the advice Vapoor eyes er regarding needing an atomizer to test juices....

Vapoor --- when you say only 4 cartomziers, should I order a lot more? How long should one last? Thanks!

It looks good- and it's a cute mod! I believe there's also a 1200 mah 18350- I'd recommend that over the 800 mah. The 1200mah should last you pretty much all day, but I've been able to drain 800 mah batteries at work.

I'd also recommend getting a little bottle of 36mg juice if you're just starting- that way you have the maximum amount of nicotine for the really tough nic fits. It's money well spent, and you can always dilute it down if it's waay to strong.
