Introduction and need help with new SVD

Cased closed in favorable fashion. The first battery tube I received was definitely a dud. The replacement fired right up. I've been using my SVD the last couple of days and all I can say is I think I love it. Variable voltage is amazing -- it's opened up a whole new world. Cue the Aladdin song.

fasttech exchange was slow, but smooth. I'll more than likely order from them again.

Right on. You will hopefully know right away -- the moment the batteries completed the electronic circuit when I was installing them, the LCD screen and fire button started lighting up. Didn't happen at all when I tried the first time.
