Ok, after a full day of using the njoy with the highest nic level sold at my local 7-11 store I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying it; however, this system is going to end up being very expensive considering 5 filled cartridges are $20. I want to buy a system that will have long battery life, a button to power on and off, good hit to the throat, and in which I can fill my own liquid. I like the looks of the Tornado T tank with the clear (still learning the names of each part so bare with me please) cartridge so you can see exactly how much juice you have, but do not care for the devil. I also want longer battery life than I'm getting with the NJoy. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, I would like a purple pv. Not picky at all am I? lol

Don't know where to get a purple PV from...... I love my Lavatube with a tank setup (upgraded to a Pyrex Phiniac Sandblasted one). No worries about cracking there, I can vape what I want, have 3 tanks in rotation, filled with different flavors. I get almost a whole day from one battery (chain vaping at 5 volts), if you drop to 4.5 or 4 volts, it will last a whole day. Tank lasts all day most of the time (going through anywhere from 3-5 ml of juice, depending on how busy I am. Don't know about the Tornado, I don't have one, so can't tell u if it's decent or not. Look at the chrome lavatube from volcanoecigs.com, though. I love it and just ordered that one as a second unit (well, may end up being my first unit, my other one is plain black and I love the Chrome look). :)

What about all the limitations and problems that people have been posting about lavatube? It's been reported in other posts that you cannot use LR or DCC's with the lavatube and that it does not hold it's power level constant. Maybe some of those people don't know how to use it, I suppose.

The Tornado is a rebranded eGo-T and it in itself has been known to be a bit problematic to some. Typically due to the maintenance (if you want to call it that) with the atomizer and tank. Mind you, this is not always the case. There are other cartomizers and clearomizers that will work great on there, however. The KGO is a similar style battery that, IMO, works better than the eGo models. It is also regulated at 3.7 volts and will get a heavy vapor through the better part of a day before a charge is needed. These also work great with a variety of cartomizers and clearomizers. If you do enjoy changing the power, you could also look at the eGo twist as it is in the same size range as the Tornado and KGO. You can find them in stock at Health Cabin, although other vendors should be getting more in soon. The twist will allow you to change your volts on the fly, up to 4.8v I believe.

I really like the looks of the KGO. How many cartomizer's should I purchase as well as the initial kit? Also, what else should be purchased besides the e-liquid?

Based on other new people's comments on using the Kgo, you could get about 15+ hours on one cart or carto and use abut 2ml of eliquid. I have also read that people rinse out their cartos and re-use them for several months. So a 10ml bottle of eliquid could last you about 5 days and a 5 pack of cartos could last you about 5 months. YMMV.

As far as cartos go, as many as you can, lol. Seriously, remember they do wear out. I got 5 1.7ohm LR Smoketechs (Resurrector) with my kit, and i ordered a bundle of 15 more. I'm going to try to keep a dedicated carto for each juice that I like. Makes life easier. I'd get some of those and some Boge 2.0 LRs as well. Those seem to be the 2 most recommended for the KGo (and E-power). Crystal Clear Vaping has great prices on bundles: 15 1.7s go for $21.50, I think; 15 2.0s go for $20. You'll also want some drip tips, for dripping as well as using on your carto. BTW, CCV also includes drip tips in your bundle orders. Here's a great video from Uncle Phil on how to fill your carto:

A PBusardo Tutorial : Filling Boge 510 Cartomizers - YouTube

If you plan to re-use your cartos, you might want to spend $7 on a cleaning kit from Smoke Tek.

Understandable, mccrji! The main thing is to have plenty of cartomizers and liquid. Finding the right liquid can be troublesome for a lot of vapers and trying sample bottles of various flavours to find what you will like is important. ECBlend has great prices on liquid ($2.50 for a 5ml bottle) and quite a selection. That could allow you to get your feet wet and find something. Also the coupon code 10020 will get you 20% off at ECBlend when you check out. As stated above, go to Crystal Clear Vaping and grab a few boxes of cartomizers (they also have free shipping) and you will be all set for a while. Use coupon code ecf5off for 5% off there. ECFDCV will get you 5% off at Dark City Vapor as well. Not much more you NEED after all that. There are other things that may be of interest, but once you play around with what you have for a bit, you can decide where you want to go then.
