Hey, yet another new member here.
I got into vaping about 2 years ago. Had a Joye 510, but could never get full satisfaction from it. The vapor never seemed to be enough and always tasted metallic. Yuck!

However, I recently stumbled upon my 510 in a drawer and decided to give vaping another go. Seems a lot has changed and improved in just 2 years! Unbelievable.

I am hoping for some suggestions based on what I *think* I would prefer... maybe you good folks will help me out.

I'm thinking of an eGo twist, but I'm not sure what to go with it! Atomizer/cartridge? Cartomizer? Clearomizer? What the heck is a clearomizer?! I'm totally confused.
Then, how do I know what will fit with an eGo?
What the heck is a drip tip?

I want a vaporizer that will have a good, satisfying hit.
I don't mind filling the juice myself, but I think I'd rather stay away from using syringes, for now.
Long battery life would be great, as my work shifts art 12+ hours.
A passthrough would be an option for at-home use.

This will be for smoking cessation.

The Twist would be a nice upgrade. Since you work some long hours, go with at least the 1000 mah batteries. I'd go with a cartomizer or clearomizer system. The carto and the clearo combine the atomizer and the cartridge into one unit. A carto uses a filler material to soak up the liquid. The clearo has no filler material and you can see how much liquid is in them. The big cartos are known as the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers, aka EMDCC. They are large and you can easily fill them with a common dripper bottle. There is also a Mega Single Coil carto available. I like the low resistance ones. The clearos can also be filled without a syringe. Read the descriptions carefully, as some do require a syringe.

Welcome back Gemmabell, I have an ego twist, but I haven't been vaping very long, so I've only used a Kanger T3. One thing that helps me to get familiar with what members suggest is to search at You Tube for whatever they're talking about. It seems like there are thousands video reviews for all this stuff now. :)

Thank you, everyone.
I'll be doing more research on tanks to find out exactly what they are.

Here's what I think I'll order to start out with:

eGo-C 1000mah TWIST Variable 3.2v-4.8v (ordering 2)

Kanger T3 eGo Clearo Bottom Coil 2.4ml Replaceable Coil - 2.4ohm (not sure how many to order)

How long do clearomizers generally last?

Hey, welcome back!

I love my twist with a replaceable head clearomizer at 2.4 ohms. I can get weeks of use out of the same head without noticing a decrease in taste/vapor production. When I do have to replace a head, they're under 3 bucks and again, last for weeks! My clearos are eons old already, lol. I just replace the heads.

Excellent choice iMO, cause I use the same one myself !
do get a couple of extra 'replacement coils, ie...attys' You 'should' be able to get a month or so out of your attys, but better to have a spare or two.
best to you-

Welcome back!

I have several batteries, mostly 808's from Smokeless Image - X2's. I did pick up a 1000mah twist and I find that I really like it. Now its making me think about getting a bigger and better VV/VW. The larger the battery and tank, the more you can vape and less time spent charging and filling.

Tanks will be your best friend. I love vision Nova tank and even the larger Ego cartridges with a flat tip. There are so many mods out there, you'll get a lot of different answers. You have to think about what suits your needs/budget the best.

Good luck & happy vaping!
