Hello all how are you? Ok a little about me, I'm a 28 years old mother of 3 beautiful children ages 1 year 3 years and soon to be 6 year old. I have been vapping for 3 days straight now. I love it I don't have to run out side to smoke I can vap now with the kids around and I love it but what I don't understand is, where the heck is the flavors in this? so here is my question. do you get less flavor if you get a higher amount of nic.....we ordered from two different places....on place we ordered had 50/50 pg vg and 24 mg of nic the other place we ordered from we got 100% pg and 26mg nic and there is not alot of flavor from either companies e juice....so just a little lost on that.....please some one help....

Don't worry about it quite yet.

Your tastebuds are probably shot from smoking. Fortunately, they grow back. I started out making my own juice to save money, and at first, I was using over 20% flavor just so I could taste something (which is VERY high - I now use half that much).

Give 'em a few weeks to recover. In the mean time, try FreedomSmokeUSA or MyFreedomSmoke (yes, they're different, ha ha) who let you add extra flavoring to your juice.

Also make sure you drink lots of water, and you may want to brush your teeth an extra time per day. vaping can dry our your mouth, and lead to build-up on your tongue.

Who knows, you may be a person who just needs stronger flavor. But I suspect you may find that your tastebuds will change in the coming weeks.

P.S. Congrats on 3 days!! It's all up from here. :)

Welcome to ECF. What kind of PV are you using ? 510, ego, blu ?
Generally the higher, the pg = better throat hit, higher vg = better vapor
not sure about what gives best flavor, but I've read that too much power can hurt flavor
I use a 80/20 pg/vg mix @ 24mg nic level on a 510/ego 3.7 volt pv's
Current favorite flavor is very strong, Atomic Cinnacide from Tasty Vapors
If you haven't seen them yet, watch MistressNomads videos for broke newbies in the 'stickies' above
Good luck, hope you find your 'sweet spot' soon

Yes to what MistressNomad said. Your taste buds are wacky right now, most likely. Your tastes will be constantly changing for awhile here at the beginning. Also, it's likely that within the next couple of weeks, there will be a day when everything you have....even all the juices you've come to enjoy....will taste crappy....or you'll get no taste at all, or very little, or a bad taste from the juice you loved yesterday. None of us is totally sure why this happens, but many, many of us have experienced it. I guess my message is to try to just roll with it all.....your body and your taste buds are changing all the time. They're detoxing. Just try not to get too rattled about any of it. Things will settle down pretty soon. Good luck and congratulations on 3 days!

I use the ego ordered it a week ago. Thank you so much everyone for answering my question that helps a lot....I have been drinking water all day and have brushed my teeth and you know it still a light flavor but taste better than it did before....so I'm sure in the next couple of week things will get better.....thanks for letting me know that you may run into a period where the flavor don't taste as good but that will not last long...Me and my husband can't wait to keep vaping and lowing our nic while at it. Thanks again everyone. sorry it took me so long to respond...three kids keep me busy...

I'm a couple of days in and having the same problem. Hoping it's a tastebud thing and will get better over time. In the meantime I was recommended freedomsmokeusa and asking for extra flavor, so I'm going to try that. Btw, they're currently having a 30% off newbie sale, so if you're gonna try them now may be a good time.

I have been drinking a lot of water today to and have bushed my teeth and scraped my tounge clean like 3 times today and the taste is way way way better......I taste the flavors now...and they seem to be getting better by the day....I think the first ones we ordered just need some time to set.... ok well now I have another question...I took out the full that the tips come with and put in the tea bag yesterday and now I don't feel like my tounge and throat are being poked with a bunch of needle...but my question is how often do I need to change the tea bag...I put it in early yesterday morin....and I still have it in and it the afternoon here?

It's probably a tastebud thing, but I initially had little or no flavor and part of the problem was using a standard, unmodified cart. The atty just wasn't getting much juice. It wasn't so dry that I got a burnt taste, but there just wasn't much flavor there. As a quick experiment, try puttig a couple of drops directly in the atty. Take a vape and see if it improves. If it does, then think about experimenting with a cart mod, cartos or just drip.

It seems (from various sources) that flavors come out more as the liquids age and have a longer time to blend. I've found that FSUSA's liquids have the best flavor, but I've only bought from four different suppliers. The owners of FSUSA have advised to leave the cap off from the liquid bottle to allow oxygen to get in, which is supposed to help with the aging process. Yes, taste buds can change, but the primary factors are how well the liquids were mixed in the first place and how long the liquids have "aged."

Other factors are the quality of the atomizer, the quality of the cartomizer, etc.
