Hello All
Bikerboy is a 30 years old dude who yes ( loves motorcycles )
located in Akron ohio if any of you is around here and share the passion for the 2 wheels .

I've been smoking all my life , and it started to show on me , i did quit cigarettes before for 3 years but recently re-started the ugly habit , and decided now to go with this e-cig :)
Looked thro the forum , and tho i understand most of you advice to go with a bigger battery , i still wanted to smoke something that looks like a cigarette and try
so I checked the coupons sections and Just ordered a v2cig with 15% off started kit and 5 menthol pre filled thingys .
I hope the company i went with isn't a spammer who is gonna charge my card out of the roof , ( you guys do check the companies you post coupons for don't u ?) i sure hope so .
how do you guys enjoy your e-cigs , what's the next model i should look for ?
How long does it normally take if i wanted to quit using this method ? or how long would it take before one of these e-cigs breaks ?
wish you all a great day , and thanks in advance for all the advices and comment you guys will post :p

Welcome to ECF!

I believe you will be fine with the company you ordered from.

My personal favorites are the Volt products from Smokeless Image. From the 78mm battery and cartos to the larger X2 1300 battery/pass thru and clearos - everything they produce is top flight.

I don't have any big or fancy mods, but I'm sure you will get a lot if recommendations from some of the great members here on ECF.

Hi there biker...not sure how much you smoked a day. That sort of factors into the type of pv or apv you'll need. My advice is to do a lot of research before you make another purchase, and also see if you like the one you just bought. Also look into filling your own cartomizers it way cheaper and really easy once you get the hang of it. Welcome and happy vaping :)

is there a video of how to refill and another question , where to buy liquid to use ?
I smoke 10 cigarettes a day and a Hookah ( tobacco but no tar that uses a water long pipe ) nothing illegal tho .
before i quit i used to smoke a pack to a pack and a half daily .
I don't want to smoke that anymore .

Welcome neighbor! (C. Fls. here!) Kudos to you for finding the forum and asking questions.

I started with an overpriced mall kit

I bought the same type (mini) and it worked to get me to stop moking, anything that works to get you off the mokes in my opinion is a winner.

If you need any help, I'd be happy to help if I can, I'm just over the y-bridge :vapor:

Ok guys here comes more questions .
Refill , dripping , how safe ? how good is it ?
I started vaping today , and I felt like nicotine withdraw symptoms is that normal ?
should i stick with 18 mg instead of 12 ? ( i used to smoke light menthol marlboro )
Why does v2 recommend resting the device for 30 min after 17 buff ? what would happened if i didn't ?
I am thinking about ordering 25 ML juice to start refiling , any advices ? should i order from V2 ? or are there better places , sorry if this was discussed somewhere else .
Thanks in advanced

I currently smoke V2s. As far as Kangers go, they're okay. My only real problem with them is shipping; I've placed 2 orders with them, 1 using USPS and 1 using UPS 3day. Each took 8 days to get to me. Since I'm a 50 cig/day smoker, they really don't do it for me, especially since their strongest carts are 18mg. I've managed to cut back to less than 10 analogs/day though, so I'm somewhat pleased. I'm planning on getting a more powerful vaping system shortly. As far as refills, dripping, etc. try you-tube. There's all sorts of videos concerning these things.

Got my liquid , tried to open a cartage to refill , broke it , searched youtube, and people are using the silicon cover that covers the cigarette to refill it , how safe is that ?
Another question how safer / worse is E-cig to your health than regular cigarette specially Cancer causing ?
Thanks

I believe you are referring to the "condom" method of refilling the cartos. It is not without its faults but it works and, once mastered, can be rather quick and practical too. What type of safety concerns came to your mind?

CASAA.org is probably your best bet to read up on e-cigs and how they compare to cigarettes. Just the facts without the hype or subjective comments.

All the best!

That's called the "condom method" and it's safe. It's the only method I ever use.
There are no known carcinogens in vapor. PG and VG are GRAS (generally recognized as safe). They're in most of the products in your kitchen and bathroom. The long term effects of vaporizing and inhaling them is not as well known, although PG is in medical inhalers and has been used in the ventilation systems of hospitals. There is nothing to indicate that either of them are harmful, but since ecigs are pretty new, no long term studies have been done.

Flavorings are less well known. But again, there is no particular reason to think they're harmful and they're certainly less harmful than anything in burning tobacco.

Bottom line is that with ecigs, you've eliminated 4000 chemicals, many of them known carcinogens. You've eliminated all tar. Nicotine is relatively harmless for people in otherwise good health. So, there's pretty much no question that ecigs are far safer than cigarettes. They may not be 100% safe, but they're 100X safer than cigarettes.

Biker boy, as you vape more you look for bigger batteries, but you can find some hat will adapt to you current setup. As far as quitting, it all depends on how determined you are and what your habits were before. Personally, I was a 1 1/2 pack a day smoker of Marlboro smooth. I quit the day I started vaping. I started with a menthol flavor so it wasn't much adjustment. Don't be scared if you find you vape more than you smoked. You body will tell you if you are taking in too much nicotine, I started with a low dose of 6mg so that I could just vape all day. Remember, even if you of doesn't let you vape, yo can do it stealth when you go to the bathroom or something. Definitely refill your cartos, it's much cheaper (about 20 cents a time). Depending on the brand carto you use, they can be refilled over and over. Also, very important, if you are looking for something that tastes like your analogs, it's not out there. There are tobacco flavors, but it's more like a pipe taste. Try a lot of different flavors until you find something you like. I started with menthol, but now I like sweet more. The nice thing is that you can switch up throughout the day. I start my day with mint, for a better throat hit(burn) and end with sweet things like its a desert. I've actually lost 6pounds in the last 2 weeks because I satisfy my sweet tooth without calories. Hope this helps.

So far I like menthol , as i used to smoke menthols , the only thing is i started with 1.2 and it felt weak so i switched to 1.8 and i do vape more than i used to smoke, I used to smoke ( let's say a pack of marlboro ultra light menthols ) but i do tape more than that in 1.8 menthols e-cig , is that normal ? did you go thro ( vaping more than you used to smoke )?
Thanks
