Good afternoon fellow vapers,

I am currently at day 19 cigarette free and 570 cigarettes not smoked. I have tried to quit many other times and have tried everything out there drugs, patches, gum , and just will power. All failed. But the e-cig is by far the easiest way I have tried .
I started with a ego kit with ce4's from the local shop and never picked up another cigarette . I did keep a pack in my truck for a week when I realized I didn't even miss them.after a week added some evod tanks and now I have upgraded to an innokin vtr. ( I got a great deal I think. The kit and a battery, charger, and a bottle of juice for $89)
Have some issues with my new setup but am working on them. First issue is the tank that came with it (iclear 30s) the vape was a bit warm for my taste and it had a horrible metalic taste. So i put on the adapter and an evod tank . That seems to work great . I did pick up a davide anyvape tank today , havent tried it yet....
I havent saved a lot of money since quitting but I feel so much better , no more cough and hacking up junk every morning....and I love gadgets and electronics .
This forum has already been a huge help for a newbie as i have been reading alot since i started vaping.

Welcome and congrats on making the switch.

I am with you. I find I didn't like the Iclear 30's either. Way too much other available options to mix with. I am happy with the Protanks 2's reg and mini's. both work flawless for me.
Also a big fan of the Aspire bdc, both in glass and plastic. There is also the eGo-s(glass) clearomizer and then there is also the Nova line of tanks.

good luck and let us know..
:)

Hey im in indiana also. Schererville. Know any vape shops near by? Glad to hear your are trading tobacco for vaping. As for metallic taste, don't run your voltage too hot for your coils and never vape on a low tank with those evods. If the fluid is bottom of the sight glass, fill it before any more vaping or your roast the wicks. There is a 'safe vaping chart' that will show you good voltage levels for a given ohm of coil. Evods i think run either 1.8, 2.4, or 2.8(?)ohms. On 1.8 i use about 3.2volts hope that helps

Not having any issues with the evods....just the iclear30s
Can't wait to try this new anyvape tank..

And yes I am a gadget nut and can already see a new hobby in my future...lol

And I am an electronics technician by trade so I will be making my own stuff soon....and to make matters worse ( or better) my brother is a machinist with access to a nice CNC machine...

Well I got a chance to try out the davide tank . And for the first day it was great....then started getting a burnt taste, which I attributed to my inexperience and playing with the settings on my vtr . So I put in a new coil head still had a bad taste . So I went back to the iclear 30s tank, with a different tip and after a good cleaning. I am pleased to say the Iclear is working like a champ . Not sure if bad taste came from the stock tip or something in the tank . Vapes a bit warm for my taste but is ok . Does produce good vapor and flavor , I can deal with the temp for now....
Now back to the davide . Will a burnt wick/coil ruin the juice? Also I have been looking into possibly rebuilding the coil heads for this tank. Hopefully my coils will be an improvement on the stock ones....

I am doing great!

I am 42 days 9.5 hours smoke free.....and over 1270 cigarettes not smoked.

And I feel 10 years younger....

I now have 3 mods and I am starting to rebuild my evod style coils. I am looking into starting to make my own e-liquid .
For what I used to spend on cigarettes in a month I can buy enough pg/VG and nic to last me a year....
