Hello All!!! Recomendations?

Hello everyone....

Been vaping for about a year and no tobacco since day 1! Started witht he Blu pack.... soon (very soon) moved on to eGo-style setups. Right now, I am content with my V/V mod.

I currently have a Tesla V/V mod that I bought as a kit with 2 batteries (4.2V 2200maH) and the charger. I use an Aspire Nautilus and Nautilus Mini for tanks. Since I have had this setup, I have always vaped until the battery was down to 3.5 or 3.6V and charged. I typically vape 1.8 ohm coils at 4V. Recently, I have noticed that the flavor and vapor production has gotten worse starting at a higher voltage. Usually, I see it at around 3.8 or 3.9V.

I am wondering if the batteries are finally giving in (they are the originals) and I should get new ones. Could anyone recomend a good battery for this setup? I love my Tesla/Nautilus but, other recomendations are welcome as well.

sorry I can't advise re batteries I simple don't know enough but I am sure there is a battery wizard or two or three here at one time or another and I think there are battery specific threads anyway welcome to ECF it is heading towards its 15 million post which to my mind is an astounding feat and all because a person named smokey joe decided to take a step. there are some funny posts and some heart warming posts and all kinds in between Welcome to ECF

Baditude is the forum battery guru.

it could be that your batteries just aren't putting out as they used to be, that's why I like regulated mods or mechanicals that use 18650 batteries. They're cheap, available, and allow you to keep your device until it fails

This is exactly what I am thinking. The batteries do charge as far as I know but, it seems like they might be losing their power so-to-speak. This leads me to believe that I just need new batteries.

Hopefully, someone could reccommend some.

Welcome to ECF! @Baditude is our resident battery expert, he might be along shortly. iin the meantime, please keep in mind that a lot of places sell counterfeit or rewrapped batteries. Ebay and Amazon are two places you'll find counterfeits. For your needs, I'd recommend Samsung 25r 18650 batteries.

Stabdard batteries should be good for around 300 charge cycles. You probably need to change them.

The problem is not the tanks or battery, but the cartamizers they are junk they don't wick well & if you take one apart you'll find the wicking burnt and sometimes the coil will burn out. No fix known yet aspire knows about the problem but no solutions yet

Nautilus are horrid and produce more of a spray than a vapor. I use Kanger T3'D most of the time, but anything I've tried for a tank will do better than a Natuilus.

I have a couple full-sized and one Mini Nautilus. I had shelved them for a while last fall, but once I got the newer coils (larger wicking holes and cotton instead of ceramic), I've been loving on them again. I have been getting about 3-5 tanks from a coil before I've had to change it out.

I'm running 30p/70v juice in mine without difficulty. I do tend to use lighter colored juices in my Nautis to avoid some of the "gunk factor." Typically run them around 11-12W and usually on the most open airflow.....

One thing I do with a new coil, however, is to start it LOW (8.5-9W) for a few pulls after I've primed it pretty well. Then I'll start nudging up a few pulls at a time. I pretty much do that with any new coil (unless it's an RBA that I've already pre-fired a few times before final wicking)

RTS Vapes seems to have the best quality (line of authentic) batteries. AW, the Samsung mentioned above - both highly respected brands. Check Baditude's blogs. He has a list of well-known and safe batteries for APVs.
