Hello All! Second chance in Vaping!

New vaper here! I tried vaping to quit smoking back in the spring of 2009. I had a 510 and it was alright, however the technology has come quite along way. I managed to quit for about three months but ended up back on regular cigarettes, the e cig just wasnt satisfying enough. So here I am four years later trying again. I ordered a V2 with my girlfriend about a week ago and its already a huge improvement from the 2009 days. However its not quite where I want to be with my PV. I did a bit of research and talked to a good friend whos been vaping for about 6 months now, and decided on trying out the VAMO. I have read a lot of mixed things, but I am excited to see how it is! Any thoughts on the VAMO?

Also, I ordered from highdesertvapes and am not familiar with the vendor. Can anyone fill me in on some stories of their service? From what I have seen I read they are pretty great. I was wondering if anyone knows how up to date the order status on your account is? It is awaiting fulfillment since yesterday morning, and I noticed they dont have a stock count on their items, so I don't know if they are waiting on stock of an item, or if they just havent put my order together or simply my account order status is just behind.. Thanks for all your help this seems like a great community where you can learn quite a bit! Looking forward to chatting with many of you!

I can tell you that in my opinion the Vamo is fantastic. It was my first real mod coming up from the Ego style, and it was really a great improvement. The price is fantastic for all that you get, and less expensive than many other mods that do the same thing. Mine has worked flawlessly from the beginning.

These days I do tend to use my Seigeli zmax more often, but only because it has a smaller form factor.

I would say overall you really can't go wrong with the Vamo.

Welcome back . As for the Vamo , I recomend the SS version . The chrome and black chrome finishes , don't hold up . And other than that , the only thing to be wary of is , not to tighten down devives , too tight . You can dislodge a little gasket/o-ring , under the contact plate . It will have to be replaced , or the Vamo won't read the ohms on your devices , ( won't work ) but other than that , good choice .

Hi and welcome to ECF and congrats.
Any thoughts on the VAMO?
LOVE my Vamo but some have reported issues. Good that you're purchasing from a reputable vendor that will guarantee their products.
Also, I ordered from highdesertvapes and am not familiar with the vendor. Can anyone fill me in on some stories of their service? From what I have seen I read they are pretty great.
Have never ordered from them but heard some good things about HDV. Realize right now they are quite popular so are obviously busy. They are ECF listed/ verified and that's a plus. Here's their ECF subforum:

good choice all around, Vamo works great, nice features, very simple to change voltage/watts, perhaps too simple. It is not the same as the Provari or the Joyetech Evic, but then again it is not the same price either. Friends really like HDV Black and mild and banana nut bread. I have purchased quite a few flavors from them and I have not had any complaints from me or my friends. Their customer service responded very quickly to a problem with an Ego-t batteries (and replaced them). I have seen several 50% off juice sales in the past couple of months which is a real bonus.

Thank you all for the kind feedback! I feel I made a good choice for the price range as well. I also ordered a nova mini tank.. but I also have a few brand new un used cisco510 bridgeless atties. I love the purpose of the tank but I am hesitant as to how the consistency in flavor and throat hit will be... One thing that I noticed as a big draw back for the V2 is not only the pull and power inconsistency which from what I understand it partly or maybe even mostly due to being a non VV or VW system, but also I noticed that the taste is inconsistent. I am trying these new Beta v2 cartomizers and I think its those that are muting the taste.. I didn't pick up any atties for it so I guess I would have to try those too to figure it out.. overall for a pen style ecig HUGE improvement from 4 years ago. I'm excited to be back on the e cig and off the poison.
