Hello Fellow Vaporizers, ;)

Been hanging around the forums here for a couple of weeks, so became
a member as I really like the community here and everyone seems to be
really decent folk.

Started vaping after to many years of smoking, and have really been
loving it. I started smoking at about 16 and started vaping at 46, so
I guess about 30 years of death sticks, with the last 7 or 8 years going
at it at 2-3 packs a day!

I've been very surprised at how fast my body is healing itself since I
started vaping. Within the first week, I started to be able to smell things
again. Some times that's good, other times it's not so good. ha ha

I am just noticing in the last few days that I am starting to taste things
as well. I didn't lose my taste completely, but I guess I lost a lot of it,
but I didn't even realize it until it started coming back. I've noticed that
I have had to start cutting back on my flavorings in my e-juices as they
were starting to taste funky! Where I was adding 10-20% flavoring when
I first started, I am now adding 3-7%.

Another thing that happened at some point, but I didn't realize until today,
is that I am getting my voice back! What do I mean by that?.. I used to
be a singer and about 6 years ago, my voice basically went away. I never
realized it could have been from smoking until today. As we (my kids and I)
were cruising to the store today with the radio going, I started to sing
along with one of the songs, and lo and behold, my voice was back!!!
Holy Crap!! I can sing again!

Anyway, I've noticed nothing but good things since I started vaping and
walked away from cigs. Yes, I had a bad start from using way to much nic
in the beginning, but everything is good now.

One thing I'd really like to see changed in the industry (but will probably
never happen) is for the producers of these e-cig products to be A LOT
more informative about nic levels and having a good start instead of a
dangerous/scary start for new comers as my wife and I had. Although I
was pretty ill from to much nicotine, my wife was extremely sick. It was
damned scary to say the least. But, that's another story for another post.

Anyway, love the forums, and glad to be here.

Peace,
Patrick

Well Welcome Patrick . There are a lot of people here , ready to answer any questions you or your wife may have regarding e-cigs or as a lot of people call them PV's (personal vaporizers) You can usually get away with vaping a lower nic level most of the time , and keep a bottle of higher nic juice around , for when you get cravings . That way you using even less nic. most of the time . Good Luck .

Welcome aboard.... Getting more and more Ohioans here :)

At the point now where it's a NE Ohio winter. Been wondering if I have been vaping too much or if it is the dry air making my throat and lungs dry. All in all would rather deal with some of the inconveniences of vaping than the outright bad health issues of smoking.

Isn't it cool to be able to get into the car and not have it smell like an ashtray?
