Hi Everyone!

I am interested in getting into vaping, after being disappointed with store bought ecigs.

I am 37 years old, and have been smoking for 25 years :(. Just had a little boy, and I'm looking to cut out unhealthy stuff whenever I can.

I currently smoke home rolled cigs, and boy are they delish lol! I am hoping I can manage a PV setup that fulfills my cravings. I am a burn guy.. MY biggest problem was needing a cig right after a esmoke because my mouth was not dry. I am thinking a strong, warm burn in the mouth and throat would be what I need.

I did a ton of research here, and some other sites and was thinking about an Aspire Nautilus Mini, with 1.8 ohm BVCs. The juice is up in the air, but most likely something far from sweet with a high PG content for burn.

I'm just stuck on the battery. I was thinking MVP v2.0 because of the good reviews, VV/VW and battery life. But, I think the lowest ohms are 2.1 or 2.3. I just want to make sure I can take advantage of <2.0 ohm setups. I was also looking at a vamo v5. I don't want to carry a few batteries if I don't have to though.

Thank to all for the info I have gotten so far... Any tips or experiences with similar setups is appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

+1 on the MVP v2

1. Huge (2600 mah) battery
2. Variable Voltage - Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 ~ 5.0 in 0.1 volt increments
3. Variable Wattage - Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 ~ 11.0 in 0.5 watt increments
4. Ohms Meter - Reads the resistance of your atomizer
5. Pass through ability
6. $40 shipped at many online stores

Pair it with a mini Naulitus with the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils) an you will have a great vape. You will be able to run any coil above 1.0 ohms (mine actually will read down to 0.8 ohms).

Thanks for the info Susan-S!

It seems like a pretty safe bet for a good start up. Thanks for clarifying the specs of the MVP V2.0. Now to just find some juice!

Hi and welcome!

I'm recently back into vaping to stop smoking as it previously helped me immensely and is doing so again the second time around (currently day two without smoking and doing really good, no cravings for the analogs at all and enjoying the vaping).

I currently have both the MVP v2 and the Vamo5. Both are great (lots of options, readings, great performance) but I slightly prefer the MVP for comfort of use and comfort holding it (note I have small hands). I already placed an order for a 2nd MVP v2 unit along with better tanks & coils and a few other cartos. The adjustable VV/VW options are great for getting the vaping experience you want and the battery capacity on both these units are leaps and bounds past what I used in the past (Ego batteries). After vaping pretty heavily for two days on both devices which are still on their first charge, both have more than 1/2 battery power left which is fabulous. One device could definitely keep you sustained for a full day of vaping.

Good luck and this place is great, I've learned lots already and people are very helpful.

Cheers!

Hello

I just joined today too. I have been vaping almost a year. I haven't gotten into mods yet but am seriously thinking about it. I still use a standard ego battery. My favorite clearomizer is a Kanger T3s. I use it with a 1.8 home coil and do quite well with it. Kinda holds down on the cost till you can find a juice you like. And of course you might stay with it for a while..Who knows? Good luck in your adventure.

Welcome aboard. I can't say much about the MVP because I've never used it. I did consider the Eleaf iStick. But my regulated mod is the Vamo V6. Yeah I have to have a rotation of batteries but I personally don't mind. Actually after using the spinner batteries I like the fact that when it's time to recharge I'm not stuck with the >1.8 ohm tanks. I like my dripper but I have a Kayfun Lite for in the car. As for juice you would probably do good to start with the tobacco flavors to think more like the smokes you are used to. I quit with the cigalikes but like the control and variety of vaping. Just my :2c:
