I should also mention that the resistance in the switch measured to about 0.1 Ohms, and the resistance from the stainless portion of the outside of the switch to the negative post on they atty is < 0.1 Ohms (immeasurable on my fluke meter). This thing is rockin'!

I really wish I could work on those LE's guys, but I've literally had no success in masking the engravings at all. I don't have the means of re-engraving them either as the engraving I can have done is not the same. I honestly don't understand why he's moving away from aluminum. It's incredibly frustrating these things have become so entirely unavailable overall and overly expensive on top. No way I'm spending $300+ for a LE

Have you had a chance to check out the textured or "grooved" finish on the hell raiser? Is that something you can replicate?

I kind of like the feel myself. However, it's not something I can reproduce. Essentially this is caused as the bar stock turns on the lathe and the cutting tool moves up as it spins creating grooves that are quite noticable. The less expensive the machine, the more they are there. Faceless has some fairly expensive machines so the machine marks you see are incredibly small. Some retailers polish their product before it goes out, face doesn't.. I didn't either when I had my laser hosts manufactured and left those machine marks there because having the parts polished is an additional cost and time thing.

I just looked at my standard iHy, and I can see the tiny grooves, but I can't feel 'em. They are more noticeable on the Hell Raiser, and I was very pleasantly surprised how much I appreciate the texture and extra grip.

Face polished a few runs of LEs and decided to go back to the grooved finish because he kept dropping the slippery ones. I like the look of the polished ones but the extra grip sure is nice.

As for aluminum tubes, Face is still going to be selling plain anodized tube sets so if you already have an aluminum iHybrid, either an older standard or an LE you'll be able to get a set of tubes to change its dress.. Kenom can strip the color very easily and apply new colors and designs.
