Hello ECF! (plus a Smoktech question)

Hey ECF! I just registered today and this is my first post, but I've read the forums for a long time and have been vaping for over 3 years. ;-) A few of you may recognize me from the Volcano forums too.

Anyway, what finally lead me to join the ECF army was an annoying issue I'm having with an order of Smoktech cartos. I had been using LR Boge for a long time but all of the Bogegate news (thanks pbusardo, hehe) made me weary of ordering more. So I ordered a couple packs of single coil LR Smoktech. And well... while I do like that they absorb juice faster, I'm having a problem with the draw. When I use a Smoktech on any of my Inferno (Ego) batteries the draw is REALLY airy, with or without a cone. I've had to resort to blocking 2 of the battery's air holes with a cut carto condom, which I've never had to do. I get a good first puff immediately after filling or topping off, but then it's airy again. I also noticed these Smoktech are losing flavor more quickly, but when I take a peek the filler's still slushy.

When I put it on my Lavatube (I have the chrome v1.5) it's better, but still not as tight and warm as Boge (which is weird because the resistance is even lower). I've never had this airy issue with any of the--god, I don't know--100 Boge cartos I've used. Anyone else? Bad batch of Smoktech? Is Bogegate even a "thing" anymore?

Hi and welcome. When Boge Gate happened the SmokTech cartos also had QC issues at the same time. I have a whack of the older ST 1.7 XL cartos and have tried the newer ones and there's just no comparison. Gave up on cartos awhile ago because of the QC issues. http://www.ikenvape.com/searchresults.asp?cat=1836 are highly regarded but are so popular they are always sold out.

I was having issues with the Boge and the Smok cartos. They were inconsistent and unreliable for me. About a month ago, I was able to place an order for the Ikenvape 510 Mega Fusions cartos. The IKVs have afforded me a stellar cartotank experience. The first 2 initial cartos performed for some 3 plus weeks prior to being retired.

As the IKV cartos usually sell out in short time after being available, there is a 25 carto maximum, now. I would encourage you to try the IKV cartos.

Wow, 2 helpful replies already. I should've registered sooner. Thanks to both of you. Unfortunately I don't use tanks so those Fusions wouldn't work for me, but I see they have regular cartos: 510 Line. So I will definitely order some of their LRs when I catch them back in stock.

It's a bummer that the 2 most popular brands both had issues, but it's relieving that I'm not the only one with a weird experience. I guess in the meantime I'll keep plowing through these boxes of cartos in case I find a couple that work well.

I have 3 boxes of the Smok 3.2Ω single coil cartos, which are being held in reserve for a rainy day. Hopefully, out of the said, perhaps there are a few good ones.
