Hello everyone!

I've been vaping for a couple of months now. Smoke-free for a little over a month. I started with the Volt kit used it for about a month and was still smoking analogs. After a lot of reading I decided to buy an Ego Twist and a Vivi Nova mini, since then I've been smoke free and don't even want an analog. I want to grow and become a more advanced vaper because it's become a hobby and I love the endless possibilities vaping offers. I would like to move up to a 18650 type mod, try my hand at DIY juices and rebuild-able atty's.

So having learned from my prior mistake of not asking for help and recommendations, here I go. I would love some suggestions about good mods, rebuild-able atty's and DIY liquids.

sounds like your on a good track, I would jump to a provari or a zmax...both have the options for use of a 18650 batt...Myfreedomsmokes.com has a great selection of DIY for e liquid

Don't overlook Bottom-Feed mods. REOS mods are outstanding, when they're in stock. I think he has the VV Grands in stock now. You can spend $200+ on Grands and Provaris, or you can start at about $50 with kits. Try what you can, ask a whole bunch of questions here at ECF, and be grateful you are analog FREE !

If you are happy with the Twist and Mini, Relax, Enjoy, maybe get a 1000mah Twist. I would go to the Variable Watt if I was moving up. ProVari is a move sideways from what you have now. Wait for the bugs to be worked out of the ZMax or wait to see What else is coming down the pipe. Lots of Good things on the way. If ProVari moves up to VW it would be Great!

This one comes with VV/VW, uses 18650 and has a section that can be removed to use one 18350. Lots of new stuff in the works!

In the meantime, practice rebuilding your Nova, get some DIY supplies (PG, VG, Nic Base and flavorings) and practice up on that. You don't have to jump in all directions (although it is tempting) all at once.

I guess I don't have to have 18650 only, I just want something a little better that will last me all day or maybe two.

PapawBrett - I got to try a Reo this weekend, it was pretty nice and looked bullet proof. 18650 and 6ml bottle all in one small package. What device would work the best on one of those?

Your advice is pretty good about not jumping in all directions but I find the part of your post that I bolded grossly inaccurate.

4) Variable Wattage

There is no equal to ProVari quality at ProVari's price. The major consideration today is not how long a PV will last, but how long before it is obsolete. Times are changing exponentially faster as more consumers become vapers.

I thought I'd toss in my two cents on the DIY juice. First off its surprisingly easy with the mix calculators available online. I use e-juice me up (I'd post a link but I'm on my phone). myfreedomsmokes.com is my spot for DIY nic liquid and supplies. They have great prices. They also sell TFA flavoring at a bit of a mark up but if you start with a few the savings in shipping will equal out and you'll get everything at once. Later you can go to the source at theflavorersapprentice.com and save a bit of money. Don't forget bottles! Lol! Also I highly recommend getting a 30ml syringe from MFS as it makes mixing and liquid transfer so much easier. Good luck and have fun!

And I'd be willing to put money on it that the provari v3 will be the same shape and size of the v2 provari and that provape will offer to upgrade exaisting customers to the v3 provari for the same cost as the v1 to v2 around 30 pounds off the top of my head

From what I've read, it doesn't seem that they can improve upon it too much.

I'm new to this too obviously, and like I stated I use the Twist so it's pretty similar. I really like the draw, taste, vapor and ease of use that the Vivi Nova mini provides. Plus you can replace the atty's. I've tried the CE5 Ego style Visions and the Kanger T2's but like the Vivi the most. The draw on the CE5 is too tight for my taste but the vapor and taste is good. The Kanger's draw is perfect and the vapor is excellent but for some reason they make the juice I've tried too harsh for me. Not sure why that is...most people I think really like them.

clearomizer = same idea as cartomizer except it is clear so you can see the juice quantity (there is no stuffing to hold juice)

It's hard to go wrong with the Mini Nova (2ml) tanks. Altsmoke has them at a good price, $9.95 (includes 3 heads, one head is 2.4 ohm and you may want 1.8 ohm heads for the 2 spares. The heads can be replaced or rebuilt.

They are reliable and easy to clean and maintain. I have never had one leak. You can try other clearos etc. but you really should each have at least one of these to fall back on. I have tried many other things and I have no intention of using anything else from now on.

Maybe when they get direct juice injection (like the fuel injection for cars) for the clearos I'll give them a try! Lol
