Hello forum. The handle is agentshags, I'm a 27 year old male and I live in Illinois. I have had knowledge of E-Cigs for a few years, because of the internet, but have never wanted to invest in a product I had no guarantee of liking. About 5 weeks ago I came across a kiosk at the local mall here. I naturally stopped to investigate, and shortly thereafter got to use a demo model. I sampled the 'tobacco' and menthol flavors, and the employee let me try his vanilla cartridge as well. I didn't buy a kit that day, because I did not have the money (I was unemployed at the time). About 5 days later (after obsessing the whole time and nagging my wife about how her cigarettes weren't good enough anymore because they weren't electronic) I came across the funds, went to the mall, and purchased my first kit. I fell in love with vapeing. I was in shock about how awesome it was. I started trying to sell my friends the product just because I enjoyed it myself. I gave the sales pitch to at least a dozen friends and family members. after about 2 weeks of owning my PV I went to buy cartridges from the kiosk. After buying them I noticed a 'Now Hiring' sign and my wife said 'there you go honey!' the employee told me to apply on the company website, and a week later I was selling PV's at the mall! I know I have read a lot of negative comments about 'mall brand' PV's, but I love mine, and the job couldn't rock more! Way better then the last job I had, working at a gas station. I get to work 11 hour shifts, sitting, listening to iTunes radio, and selling kits. I wouldn't mind doing this job forever! One of the few websites that my browser allows happens to be ECF, which is awesome on slow days, and just awesome in general. I have dug through probably 50 threads or so, trying to expand my knowledge of PV's. I finally got the courage to post, but found that I needed 5 posts here. I figured I would start to accumulate posts with an introduction, and here we are!

:)

Hello and welcome to ECF!

The reason mall kiosks get a bad rap around here is because what they sell is usually overpriced and sometimes it just pure junk. Once in a while they sell something good, but still it's overpriced. With the economy like it is, that's really hard on a lot of people. We see a great many people who end up here who are very upset and afraid that vaping is going to end up costing them a fortune. I can't tell you how many people who see me vaping ask if it's really expensive. My response is "No."

I'm glad that the mall kiosk got you into vaping and also helped you find a job! That's great!

Good catch on finding the job. I know kiosks get a pretty bad rap on here but don't sweat it. Tons of people would never have found one if not for people like you. Just learn as much as you can and don't exagerate or claim they are for quitting cigs. They are a cigarette alternative. The FDA is giving us a lot of crap right now over taking them off the market, so they can "run tests" to see how effective they are as Medicine. It's a big fat load, it's just their way of breaking us up. So when you get into a sales pitch be honest about how long a cartridge lasts, how long the batteries last and how often the Atties last if that is the type of model you are selling. Keep it real and it should be a cool job. There is a great guy on this site named Mac who has been doing the mall thing for a while he runs a few of them I think. He is on my friends list so if you want you can go on my page and then hit his pic and send him a pm. I bet he could really give you some great advice.

Good luck, happy vaping and welcome to ECF.

I try to be honest about our product. It helps that I use the product myself. I don't claim that they are NRT or anything. I mention some of our customers either use 0mg cartomizers to pacify or have stopped using nicotine altogether. We have a large sign that says 'better alternative to traditional cigarettes' on it, so my bosses are marketing it as an alternative to smoking analogs. Oh, and thank you ECF for giving my friends and customers some laughs. I now call all cigarettes analogs. I tell my friends to take their damn analogs outside!

Im lovin ECF and PV's in general, although all we sell at the kiosk are cartomizer types. I have not tried drip fill yet, but am dying to explore that world! We are supposed to be launching a cigar/pen looking drip fill and selling the e-liquid on the website soon, but I don't know if I can wait! I might have to cheat on our brand, lol.

+1 Definitely give your customers the straight skinny. Nothing ticks me off more than when a new person shows up and says they were told a cartomizer is equal to a whole pack of cigarettes or will last all day, that the battery will last all day or that they can only buy replacements from them.
