New here (obviously) and new to the vaping world. I quit smoking and started vaping 11 days ago. I was a pack a day smoker of Newports for 20 years. I've tried to quit several times with no success. Ever since I bought my first e-cig, I have no desire for an analog cigarette. I'm finally done with them. The way I see it, someone has invented a harmless cigarette!! Its like a dream come true. Also, when I first decided to try the e-cig, I planned on using it to wean myself off of smoking. I had no plans of vaping permanently... but now I'm quite fond of it and have no intentions of quitting EVER.

Anyway, I'm happy to be aboard and hope to participate and many many vaping discussions here in the future.

Welcome...I don't "plan" on quitting either. Too much fun with my hobby.

Glad to hear that you made the switch. It always blows me away to think the quitting smoking couldn't be easier. Quitting nic all together...well....ummmm....I don't know about that but I've weaned down some....does that count?...LOL.

Welcome and congrats on making the switch!

I never planned on quitting smoking. I saw the e-cig as an alternative that could be used in my house because we have a "no-indoor smoking" clause in our lease. I didn't want to spend another winter freezing my ... off in the garage. But quit I did the minute that I got my Riva kit and I haven't looked back since! Now I have no plans to stop vaping!

Thanks for the welcome, hairball.

The way I see it, theres no need in quitting nicotine. From what I gather, nic is a lot like caffeine. Its only side effects are raised heart rate and blood pressure... but thats only if you abuse it. Otherwise, its harmless. This whole vaping thing is a lot more fun than I ever knew. Theres so many different models, flavors and accessories. It is indeed a hobby. Glad I decided to entertain the option 11 days ago.

Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! !

Your gonna find a lot of more info here then you ever dreamed of . . .
And some of the freindlest and most helpful people you've ever meet too . . .
I hope to be were you are soon - I'm still looking for my WOW taste - till then . . .
Thanks for the welcome. I don't even know what my "wow taste" is yet either, I've only tried the menthol carts that come with my cheap gas station e-cig kit. However, I've ordered a bottle of Menthol ICE from Halo and plan on purchasing one of their kits.

Welcome and congrats on making the switch!

Hello and welcome to ecf.....So tell us about your ecig set up? What level of nic, type of battery? etc.....always love to hear a success story....
:)
btw---I have no plans of ever giving up the ecigs....

Certainly. Don't laugh though!

My "set up" is a $40 kit I picked up at Circle-K (convenience store). The nic level is 1.6% per ml. Not too sure about the battery. It doesn't say.

I'm gonna order either the G6 or the Element from Halo. Any advice on which one?

No laughing here...We all started somewhere....I am not too familiar with either of the ecigs you mention,,,,sorry....You may want to look around at what others are using and make mental notes about what is important to you....i.e. battery life(bigger battery means less charging time) also consider how convenient you want it to be.....there are companies that offer pre-filled cartomizers, some offer empty cartomizers that you fill with juice yourself.....it depends on your wants and needs...
let us know what is important to you and we can steer you in the right direction,

Whats important to me is size/shape. I want it to me similar to a real cig. Of course battery life is significant but this cheap one lasts all day... so I guess thats just fine. I probably want to go with the empty carts because I'll be purchasing my own juices. Also, I want it to look slick and stylish (like the ones on the Halo website). Vapor poduction is pretty important too. I like to inhale/exhale large clouds.

Hi im also new, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to you as well.

For great vapor production you will need a mix of pg/vg. I use a 50/50 mix...Some members use 60/40 or a 70/30 mix....
pg = greater throat hit and good flavor, not much vapor tho
vg = great vapor with less throat hit and a little less flavor.....
enjoy.
