Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for 1 month and 3 weeks... since I quit smoking and started vaping!

I keep finding threads I want to reply to, but being a newbie, I can't. So, I'll just introduce myself and see where it leads.

My better half and I started out with eGo-Ts. Mine was a generic and one of the batteries broke pretty early on.

So, I was determined to get something that would be durable and have cheap batteries. I ended up with an Apex Alpha UltraMax. I like it a lot, but I'm realizing now that I'll never find the one ecig to rule them all... just have to try to keep from going broke in the process!

The lady is still smoking 5 cigarettes a day, but she's down from 30. I hope she'll go all the way before long. Not sure how to help that along, though.

OK. It's weird rambling on about myself. Glad to be here and look forward to many great discussions.

Hi there and welcome to ECF! Congrats on making the switch (and your better half for cutting down)! Don't hesitate to chime in on the posts here in the new members forum - once you have 5 posts under your belt and the server updates (about an hour), you'll be able to post freely on the other ECF forums!

And yes, the quest for that 'perfect' vape can be a lil' expen$ive... but worth it and it's fun!

Both of you have done well so far! Helping your wife rid herself of those last few "stinkys" should not be too difficult. With the help of the great community here, you'll be able to "adjust" her vaping so as to be a better fit for her. It may take something as small as a change in vaping technique or possibly an adjustment to the nicotine level. Let the forum know how it can help! :)

Hello, Vittiv and welcome. Once you get 5 posts, you will be able to post anywhere.

Some of us hang on the the last few cigarettes even after vaping for a while. I think the only way to lose those is to get the temptation out of the house and vape like a fiend for a weekend. It's not hard to deny yourself a cig if you vape a little heavier for a few minutes. The urge will pass and come back later, but most say that eventually the urges dwindle and that happens in a few days.
