Hi there, I have been vaping for almost a week now( or trying to). I bought a system in a local mall, Im not sure what kind (not firmiliar with the lingo and models, lol)..They are the size of regular ciggs, I bought a starter kit with 2 batteries and automizers, 5 cartridges, a small bottle of cotton candy e-juice, charger and case for $53. My issue is I have to fill this with liquid constantly and Im hardly getting any vapor at all now..seems like it was better when I bought it, now hardly anything and I have to draw really hard on it to get anything..also the batteries do not last anytime at all. I really want to quit smoking ciggs, but keep reaching for them because Im not satisfied with what Im using..I want to try another system and have looked around the internet for info and ideas. Thinking about trying one of the e-go systems with a tank, but then I read they have leakage issues? Can anyone rec. a good system? The kind Im using now and don't like is from smoketonight.com if that helps..thanks!

Hi Andrea and welcome to the forum! You might want to take a look at SmokelessImage. They have some new batteries (I recommend the 1300mAh ones) and some clearomizers. The clearomizers are super easy to fill, and get some of their RY4 juice in whatever strength you want, and you will be all set. This is what I currently use and I get plumes of vapor and good TH. What ever you decide to do good luck! :)

Welcome.

If you got out of a mall with a "whole" kit for $53.00 (not $253.00) you did OK. That kit got you into e-cigs, and probably into searching the net and finding ECF. So... not a bad thing really. It does sound like you can do better.

The advice above is good. There are many options. Keep reading and digesting the info here on ECF. It takes a bit, so don't get too put-off by the learning curve.

Questions to ask yourself:
1) Does it really have to be cig-sized?
2) Do I want long battery life, or can I just swap batteries out more often? Maybe with a separate charger?
3) Do I want to spend a bunch up front, or work into it?

Please see the ECF Info pages for overviews of e-cig types and how they work, what's involved, and terminology.

I'd avoid tank type systems if it were me starting out. Try atomizers and dripping (my mom quit cigs that way... no messing with filling cartos either) or cartomizers and refilling with juice. Or at least read up on the differences and see what you think. Tanks tend to leak IMO (you'll get as many opinions as people on these topics) but can be used successfully if you understand them. However, there's so much "fiddle factor" with e-cigs that it can be irritating to new users.

Good luck!

If you want to stay with a cig size, I have had good luck with Electronic Cigarettes | E Cigarette | V2 Cigs. Good warranty too. Go for the manual battery and it comes with some pre-filled carto's. You could keep ordering pre-filled for awhile, but I will say that the KR808D-1 carto's that they use are extremely easy to refill yourself. They have great flavor and vapor production. I have since moved up to a big battery mod, however I still run the 808 carto's cause I cannot find anything that works that well!

Andrea34, first welcome to ECF. Second, there are a number of fellow Hoosiers on this forum besides myself. Not only do we have our own sub-forum, see link in my sig below, but we have a social club as well.

Club Hoosier Vapers - Vaping along the crossroads of America so check it out and you can see pictures of some of us under the Vape Meets tab.

There is a vape meet going on in Kokomo in June. Home - KoKoVapeClub If you would like to see these things and ask questions, a vape meet is a great place to do so. (At a club meeting, or meetup, is a chance to see what others are using and find out why they use what they use.)

If you have any questions, ECF folks are the best you'll find anywhere.

Welcome to ECF Andrea34! I agree with what everyone has posted so far. The questions ask by AttyPops is spot on. You need to answer them for yourself and not get pushed into something.

For me i started with a simular kit. Found ECF while looking up information on ECIGS and discovered the answers to the questions for myself. I decided that the cig lookalikes where ok to start out but i found that the charging of the batteries throughout the day was annoying (for me). I then went with a KGO and i think i'm happy where i am right now. Good luck on your journey.

Andrea,

It is worth the effort. I have been off the analogues for a month and I feel sooo much better. I had forgotten what it was like to have this much energy, not to mention the other benefits like my skin is looking better and I no longer have head aches.
I am on that steep learning curve as well and looking forward to upgrading in the future.

I usually suggest something like this setup for someone looking to start out. It gives you a nice spread that will last a good while, expose you to the basics, and is a solid PV to start out with. Just my 2 cents.

This was my first "real" e-cig setup and I was/am very happy with it!
