Hey Everyone,

My wife and I just got Ego-T's today. Saw her niece and uncle using E-Cigs over the weekend and we got curious. We got the Joyetech Ego-T. It came with the tips that have cotton (poly something) in them. You add 3-4 drops onto the cotton and smoke away. This has all been pretty cool for the two hours or so that we've had it.

However, I'd like something that is a little more convenient. I was looking at the Ego-T on youtube and noticed that everyone else had some sort of little tank that they would refill. What is that? Is it better? I like the idea of just putting a tank of liquid in the thing and not worrying about it until the tank was empty. Can you guys educate me more on this and anything else you think i should know.

Yes, i did try to search the forum....but i'm not even sure of what things are called so my searches were kind of useless. All help and advice is greatly appreciated.

One more thing ...my wife is asking what PG and VG is.

Another one more thing...what's a good place to buy liquid from?

Thanks...

Hi..hang in there a bit..there will be plenty of people who will come and help you..I am a newbie too..I can tell you that the PG and VG are the propylene glycol and/or vegtable glycerin in the liquid..along with flavorings. There are different ratios...different companies make them differently --some do..70/30 pg/vg, etc...the pg gives that 'hit' and the vg' gives that vapor. The tanks ...lots of talk about those..someone will I am sure come and telll you..meanwhile..did the company you bought the liquid from have any tips on filling those carts...because you need to iniially fill them all the way...then you can add a few drops as you go along...then they get cleaned etc...youtube has lots of videos on that...hang in there..you have some good stuff to start with...CONGRATS on the 'switch'!! good luck to you both...!

Well welcome to ECF . With the EGO's there are lots of options out there that are pretty easy and " convenient " Look at some EGO visions , and even regular cart's will work . And GOT vapes and maybe some others have another tank/carto , made just for EGO's . As for PG and VG. it's the liquid that your juice is primarily made of . PG is Propylene Glycol , and produces more flavor and throat hit , while VG or vegetable glycerin is a bit thicker , and sweeter , but produces more vapor , but does tend to mute the flavor , some . Alot of people use a combination of the two . Such as a 70% PG and 30 % VG . I Mix my own juices and usually use a 50 / 50 mix . Some people can have an alergic reaction to Straight PG , but seem to do OK on a mix . But there are some vendors that also sell 100 % VG . Rember , now that your vaping , to drink a lot more water than you usually do , as vaping tends to dry you out , and can cause a sore throat , and even some tightening in the chest . But if you drink plenty of water , you probably won't have any issues . Good Luck . Just ask if you need any other answers . Plenty of knowledgeable people here to help . And also remember , all of us were noobs , at one time , and had to ask several hundred questions . So don't feel like your being a bother .

Backwood's Brew for juice.

Backwoods Brew

I absolutely agree! Backwoods is a great company. The only heads-up is that some of their flavors, especially those with a tobacco base, need a little time, maybe a week or two, to "steep" (age). Not the Orchard Frost, though. That one's great from the start, in my opinion. Just a word of warning about Backwoods, though -- I think they're taking a vacation soon, so you may want to put an order together quickly.

Another company you might like is Alien Visions (avejuice.com). They make some great juices, and Boba's Bounty is an almost universally beloved classic. Excellent service too.

This is the ego-t system i bought it has a different name but its still the ego-t. to me it sounds like you did not get the ego-t or it would have had the tank system and yours doesnt sound like it does. the tank uses no polly fill just a plastic capsul you fill with e-juice. I used to have the pollyfill cartridges but i enjoy the tanks system much much more! I hope all this was help!

Hello and welcome
You might want to look at stardust visions, fluxomizers, phoenix tank, vision stone tank
These work well for me
You'll have lots of other folks giving you opinions and suggestions as well, so just keep on asking questions:D

That Phoenix Tank looks pretty cool. Will it work with the Ego-T? Also, how often do you replace it?

Thanks for all of the good info guys...keep it coming :)

Maleko is right. It sounds like what you have been using are the old fashioned cartridges that some companies keep insisting on shipping with their kits. They're a mouthpiece with polyester fiber filling. They hold about 8 or 10 drops. You stick them into an atomizer and they wet the coil to produce vapor. That's not an eGo-T setup. An eGo-T should have a much larger tank and a special atomizer with a spike in it that punches a hole in the lid of the tank. The tank should hold at least about a ml of juice. I don't know exactly what you have, but you're not describing an eGo-T.

If, in fact, you don't have an eGo-T, that's not bad news. Frankly, that tank system is a pain and plagued with leaking problems among other things. You'd be better off just getting some cartomizers or clearomizers made for an eGo battery.

Another piece of misinformation that should be cleared up. PG does NOT provide "throat hit". Nicotine is what creates throat hit. Some people or companies might use capasican (pepper juice), but normally nicotine is responsible. VG mutes and smooths throat hit, as well as flavor. It also produces more vapor than PG does. When a juice has a high VG content, it naturally means there is less PG. If there is more PG, there is less VG so the throat hit is muted less. That's why people mistakenly think that PG provides throat hit. What it really does is not mute it, the way VG does.

Just about anything with a 510 style thread like the eGo batteries use, will fit and work on the eGo. There are a lot of cartomizers, tanks, etc. specifically designed to work on the eGo type batteries. The "stardust" tanks, also known as eGo Vision tanks, are very good, as are the Fluxomizers. The Vision Stone 3 tanks are great, but they are being discontinued and aren't that easy to find. Plus, one of the advantages of them are that they have replaceable innards and those are going to be tough to find as well. They are being replaced by the Vivi Nova tank. For the eGo, I'd stick to the Vision (Stardust) tanks.

Pretty much anything designed for a 510 battery will work on an ego, but the eGo stuff won't fit on a standard 510 device without an adapter.

Yeah, i agree with you about the "old Fashioned cartridge". My wife went into the store and bought this. It's and Ego-T, but i think the store must have changed the cartridge part out. Every video on youtube for the Ego-T has the tank and ours doesn't. Not sure if the girl ripped us off or just did not know what she was doing.
