Yeah, i agree with you about the "old Fashioned cartridge". My wife went into the store and bought this. It's and Ego-T, but i think the store must have changed the cartridge part out. Every video on youtube for the Ego-T has the tank and ours doesn't. Not sure if the girl ripped us off or just did not know what she was doing.

You might not have been ripped off -- eGo-T is also a style of battery. I got eGo-T batteries with my eGo-C because I wanted the passthru feature (they didn't offer it on the eGo-C at the time) which allows you to use it while it charges.

Personally, I like the eGo-C tank system. If that is what you're after, I would recommend it over the eGo-T, because it's cheaper to replace the atomizers because you don't have to throw out the whole assembly. I use an eGo-C with juices I don't want to vape all day long, and I have Vision Clearomizers that I use for juices that I do want to vape all day long. I simply don't want to vape 1.6 mL of the same juice in one sitting very often, nor do I like going through the hassle of cleaning the Visions regularly. I have a few Visions for juices that I only want a couple of puffs of now and then and I just keep them loaded. This combination works very well for me and I've had a generally enjoyable and trouble-free experience using both set-ups in tandem. I would suggest that you try out several lower-priced options that look appealing to you. Everybody (including myself) thinks that what they use is the best, and it's good to get opinions on different equipment, juices, etc., but ultimately use will determine what you like best. Your use preferences will come out in time, and there's no one option that works for everyone.

Whether the girl did it or not, you were definitely ripped off. The "T" part of the ego-T is a major part of its price. You can get a kGo, which is just like an eGo but without the tank, for less than $50. I'm sure you paid more than that for an eGo-T. Now, you have a plain eGo, which is o.k., cause the tank system is a PITA anyway. The worst part is that it's 3.4V and you could have gotten a kGo or something that has 3.7V. But pick up a Stardust or some decent cartomizers and you'll be in good shape. Consider it a blessing that you don't have to deal with those stupid tanks and atomizers.

You can get an entire eGo-C or eGo-T (battery included) on Cignot for around $40 if you buy it piece by piece. The battery is less than $20. But if we're talking about batteries they could have gotten, my vote is for the eGo-C Twist. True variable voltage (3.2-4.8v) for around $30 -- it's by far the best, cheapest option on the market if you're after voltage. I haven't been able to put mine down since it arrived on Friday. It's well-built, it performs great, and I'm absolutely loving it!

Holixn, when you say dry,do you mean the vapor? It'g going be different than a normal cigarette. If you means it's drying you out, realize that vaping will dehydrate you and you need to drink more water.

I'm new to,what is it about vaping that causes dehydration? Is it worse with some models than it is with others?

Hey Guys...quick update. So there is a new vape store near my house. It just recently opened. We went in to get some Eliquid and check things out. The guy there was very knowledgeable and helpful. He showed us what a real Ego-T system looks like and what we should have gotten. We bought 2 bottles of liquid (Pina Colada & Pepper Mint), two ego-t atomizers and some tanks. The guy was great and we'll definitely be visiting the store again.

After we left we called the other store that we bought our Ego-T from and told them what we learned and that we did not get what we paid for. To our surprise they let us return them and get a brand new Ego-T system. I verified that it had everything that it was supposed to come with and we're good to go know. We haven't smoked since we got these on Monday and i don't miss Cigs at all.

Dehydration is mostly a side effect of the PG. What happens is the PG will cause lactic acid build up in your muscles, and your muscles will ache like you have been exercising strenuously at the gym. (don't worry, lactic acid build up is not serious....this happens naturally even without vaping, like working out at the gym and not drinking enough fluids to replace the fluids lost through sweating). Also, PG will give you cotton mouth, so drinking water can help with that as well.

Hope this answered the question!

And, to the OP, here are some links that has helped me learn a lot about vaping:

Vaping Guides to the Electronic Cigarette

National Vapers Club - Meeting Place for lovers of e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers and all things "fog" producing!

http://grimmgreen.com/

I found this video on Youtube last night. He made 3 videos talking about batts (batterys), attys (atomizers), ejuice or eliquid, and filling of cartomizers as well as dripping.

E-cigs - Vaping for Beginners (Part 1) - E-liquid / E-juice - YouTube

There are HUNDREDS of videos on Youtube that will teach you about different styles of e-cigs (or what I rather call "vaporizers" since this term freaks the non-smokers out less! :) ) and lots of How-to videos.

Hope these links help you on your journey to a healthier life!

Oh, almost forgot to say, Welcome to the forum and Congrats on your decision to quit smoking and start vaping!

Happy Vaping! :vapor:
