Well, first I should tell you guys a little about me.

Okay, I've already quit smoking for the umpteenth time, it's been 73 days since I've had a cigarette and I'm feeling good about that... however the cravings have been hitting me pretty hard lately and it's wreaked havoc with my diet. I'm pretty sure the cravings are psychological, as I haven't had nicotine in that many days.

When I did smoke I smoke menthols exclusively, Newport Box 100's to be exact, Marlboro Menthol 100's if they were out of my brand. I was never a heavy smoker, usually about 4-6 cigarettes a day.

Alright, so that's my basic history...

The other day my wife (who's always been a non-smoker) mentions to me that one of her friends switched from analogs (I've been reading, ;)) to a "Janty Kissbox" and she wanted to me to google that for her for my father-in-law who has smoked his entire life but has COPD and the beginnings of emphysema. HE smokes those horrible "little cigars" that have filters and are basically cigarettes. My mother-in-law took the opportunity to make her home "smoke free" the last time he quit for a few months with due to the severe effects of his COPD. So now that he's back to smoking (he's really stubborn and sneaky) he has to go outside. His legs are weak so he can't go outside nearly as much, so he's eating tons and tons of candy which is bad for him.

Well, during my hours of research I've decided that I want to e-smoke too, but I don't want carts with nicotine. However, my wife wants me to try and find a solution for my father-in-law and I want to find something to negate the cravings to smoke. What happens is I'll get these strong cravings to smoke but instead I'll end up binge eating. I've got a eating and weight problem to begin with, so you can see that I'm not doing myself any favors by using food to cure my cravings.

Alright... I've been watching reviews on YouTube. I've spent many hours reading, searching and I decided that I want to try the RN4801 (Super Mini). I don't want to look like I'm smoking a pen and personally, I like the way the Super Mini looks. Lots of menthol cigarettes have that "orange-y" filter and it's strangely comforting to me. I also want something small. Originally I was worried about the vapor level being poor on something so small but after watching the video Rustylug posted on YouTube (not allowed to post the link :() and to me at least, it puts out more vapor than the DSE901, actually that video amongst a couple others, sold me on the RN4801 model in particular.

Okay, so I'm pretty sure that's the model I want.

I went and searched with Google for sellers of that model RN4801 that offered 2 batteries (Rustylug also mentions that in another video). I came across lots of sellers, and some of them were asking for really high prices. I found two sellers online that seemed to have good prices... One was ecigtech.com which at first glance seemed cheap, then I calculated shipping and it was expensive and seemed slow. The other seller is VaporGuys.com and so far fron what I've seen, they have the best deal for a starter kit. I've heard that there's also a Puresmoke.com but I haven't seen what their kits and prices look like. I also noticed that they sell the RN4801 at Costco.com, branded as the njoy NPRO but it seems pretty expensive.

So what I'm asking for basically is where should I buy my first kit from? I would like it to be US based as that's where I'm from. I don't want to wait for "slow boat from China" shipping either.

Can anyone give me feedback on VapourGuys? Because they seem like the best deal so far. I ordered the starter kit from these guys.

Thanks in advance for all your help and for reading through this mess of a post.

If your sure you want a Rn4081, vaporguys seems to be a good place to buy.Although i personally have not bought from them, alot of ppl here on the forum gave them good reviews though. Totally wicked sells the RN4081 kit for a good price aswell Electric Cigarette & E Liquid - Totally Wicked Electronic Cigarette Fluid along with plenty of liquid choices!I bought a rn4081 from puresmoker "pee wee" awhile back, but now they are in the process of moving thier buisness to a different location so you would have to wait on them, till mar. 20th i think.. But either way you go, they all seem to be great sites, and im sure youll be satisfied, and welcome to the forums!

Well yeah Terr i have both the pee wee, evo's, along with a 901. Personally i think the 401 "evo" is the best choice for me and is better than the others i have. The pee wee isnt bad though, atleast i havent had problems yet, battery life isnt the best either. I just figured he was already fixed on the rn4081..But yeah there are option out there, Terrs right..

Yeah...Here's my stance;

I know that people claim there are better performers out there than the evo.

Judging from the size of a pen-style atomizer, you'd think they'd be one of them and I've heard they do slightly outperform them 401/evo for vapor and throat hit.

Thing is, you have to have something the size of a siege weapon to do better than a 401.

I don't understand why people see the other super-mini styles but somehow manage to pass up the evo / 401 / 402 all the time. It just blows me away. I haven't tried the pee-wee or a 901 or really anything except for the Evo and a pen atomizer hooked to a 14500 battery but I've seen the vids, I've read the reviews and, for my money...You can't POSSIBLY do better than an M-401.

Now if only other suppliers dealt 401's that were as well tuned as the Evo. Man that would rock.

My next purchase will be a pen, though, I believe...Just to say I have one.

Nah, I didn't. I did a video demo at one point (my first video ever) but I do use the evo for ALL of my juice reviews and it's my day-to-day hardware.

Well...it would have to be since it's the only one I have right now. I've thought about getting other e-cigs but I basically have 4 evos (as evidenced by my antics video) and they really suit me just fine. I don't NEED anything else. I kinda want a pen just so I can say I have one (as I said previously) but I certainly don't need one.

I figure I'll start stocking up on e-cigs when companies start sending them to me for reviews. Until then, the evos and the pen will do just fine I reckon.

Well, the M-401 looks interesting. I'll definitely keep it in mind if the RN4801 doesn't work out for me.

I'm pretty set on using distributors here in the US though. The shipping from sellers outside of the US, into the US, is slow and expensive and I just prefer to use US distributors, overall. Once burnt, twice shy, as they say.

There seems to be a growing number of distributors here in the US and abroad and that tells me that e-cigs will become more and more popular. I wonder how long before the Big Tobacco companies start raising a ruckus over e-cigs.

Yes, the 401's have a cutoff. The time of the cutoff and the length of the cutoff vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The Evo is a 5-6 second cutoff with a 2 minute cooldown. The Pilot is a 7 second cutoff with a 2 minute cooldown and I have a generic 401 battery that has a 10 second cutoff with a 10 second cooldown.

I rarely get a 401 to that point, though. I smoke it like a cigarette and I do just fine. For the rare times that I DO hit cutoff, though, I just swap batteries.

I vape zero nicotine and it helps me a lot with my cravings. You can order blank carts and zero nicotine juice. I found that with my Minis that I just drip instead of using a cartridge. I have two of the super Minis (401s) and no matter how careful I was about filling them they leaked and the taste of the fluid in your mouth, not matter what flavor, is not pleasant. For the most part, I now use the Pen styles especially when I am out and about, for me, it is just too much of a hassle to always be filling my Mini. Though I liked the smallness of the Mini, I find that the Pen Style really isn't that much bigger to carry. And for someone who is legitimately quitting smoking and is going cold turkey with no Nicotine, I don't want something that reminds me too much of what I crave. (cigarettes).
All in all, if you are serious about Vaping, you will probably want several of them for back ups, atomizers go bad, batteries go bad, and you will want something else around to fall back on.

Have you looked at http://www.e-smokeytreats.com
