I researched e-cigs a few months back. The overwhelming information and decisions to be made confused me so I put the thought of making the switch on the back burner. I am finally determined to switch again, but this time I'm equally determined to make a decent choice for myself. I've discovered my uncle is happily using Best Electronic Cigarette Starter Kits | Ultimate Kit for 9 mos now.

I am one of those picky Virginia Slims Menthol Lights smokers. With V2 only have one flavor menthol.. I am afraid that I may need to buy refillable carto's so I can try liquids from other places?

I am not interested in the complicated. I want something that is easy to use when I need it.

What is an Ego?

Do you guys have any positive/negative feedback on V2?

What suggestions do you guys have for a complete newbie?

Hello Jeaja,
You can start with a Joyetech eGo battery and a vivi nova tank.
You can get various knock offs or other name brands with the same concept in mind.
Just in case you don't know, the term battery is reserved for the device which holds the battery in it, which a tank (clearomizer, atomizer, cartomizer) is attached to.
The term Ego comes from the type of threading used for certain clearomizers. (Guys feel free to correct me at any point)
A "pen" style battery with a tank, as suggested above, may appear a little complicated to the new user (ask my friend Patricia...lol) but the flexibility that comes with it -changing size/capacity of tank, juice flavor, and drip tip- is worth learning about.
I have no experience with the V2 but I think you can get away with great results cheaper.
Good luck with whatever you purchase and be happy with yourself, and the juice you choose to vape.

As a person who has just switched from cigarettes to vaping 3 weeks ago, here is my best advice to you.

If your intent is to quit smoking, then it is best to change your experience to be as different from smoking as you can and still satisfy your desire to inhale.

I looked at the kit you described and my 1st thoughts were OMG, look at all that stuff! That looks really complicated! That's a lot to carry around!
My 2nd thought was $170 ?? That over twice what I spent to get started.

You asked what an eGo is? It's a brand name, mostly of the battery/power units that attach to the business end of a lot of Vapeing devices. They come in different sizes and power levels and styles. They are a bit bigger around than a cigarette, but some are about the same length.

Here is what one looks like

http://caughtthevapors.com/shop/batteries/ego-c-twist-1000-mah-variable-voltage-battery/

This can be paired with many different vaping devices.

The easiest, least complicated ones are called BCC. That stands for Bottom Coil Clearomiser.

The one I chose is called the iSmoka Mini BCC. It's simple. Unscrew it open, drip some fluid in it, close it, screw it onto the battery and Vape. Easy. Uncomplicated. Quick.

Here is what that looks like

Mini BCC from iSmoka

So, get yourself something like that to start with. Many here will tell you to get this or that, that blah blah blah is best, or the only true way. Just start simple.

My best advice is that you find a local Vape store so you can go in and taste all the different flavors.
Since you want to stop smoking, I would advise not getting a tobacco flavored eFluid. I also smoked menthols. There are lots of flavors that have menthol in them, or you can get some menthol flavored eLiquid and add it to what ever flavor you choose.
I started with a melon flavored eFluid and added 4 to 6 drops of menthol into it and found it to be very satisfying.

There are a zillion flavors.

I hope this was helpful to you.

Good luck quitting the "analogs" (that's what people in here call cigarettes. aint that "cute")

Hello Jeaja,
Great prices are at fast tech , online. Problem is the waiting to get you started.
If you don't mind the wait,,,, I'd recommend the 1100 mah battery / EVOD starter kit $13.00 FREE SHIPPING
This will get you a good starting battery, the charger,+ USB plug adapter, & EVOD 1.5ml Bottom wicking/coil tank.
Next ,,, while at fast tech search ( eliquid ) , find a flavor & nicotene strength to start.
If you smoke 1 pack a day, I'd recommend 6 to 11 mg's of nicotene in the eliquid you choose.2 packs a day,, 11 to 24 mg's.

Your first investment will be around $20.00 ( not bad at all )

If vaping is for you, you could order a duplicate copy of your first order with an assortment of eliquid flavors.

Hope this helped you out.
Hope vaping is for you.
And I hope you quit smokin,,
107 days cig free for me and I can light a cig and truly & easily say, " they suck "
Hope you get to feel the same way about smokin!!!

VAPE ON
