I am relatively new to vaping. I have dabbled in the disposables and enjoyed it, so I figured I may really enjoy vaping with some nicer hardware.

I have no device right now, but have narrowed down what I want to try. I want to get either the Volcanoecigs Inferno Kit, (or a similar eGo kit if anyone knows where to get one for cheaper than $70), or wait for their Lavatube to come back in stock.

Any suggestions?

The eGo is a great starter kit. I've also heard great things about the lavatube. You should be good to go either way.

Love my eGo-t, good bang for the buck. Some folks have problems with the tanks leaking but so far mine have only be slimey like a little kid's nose. With the eGo-t you can still use the 510 atties and cartos on them. Wold suggest gets some cartos and an atty (comes with some tanks) just to see which you prefer. Figure $10-$30 for an atty (depending on where you go) and the cartos are under $10 for a 5 pack at some places.

Liberty-Flights.com will give you a good price on an eGo kit. If you go for for the eGo-T, you might also want to get some Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers with it in case you don't like the tank system.

If you're interested in a Riva, instead, I would recommend the Riva-510 or Riva-T over the regular Riva. The 510-threaded Rivas are compatible with more atomizers and cartomizers.

If you don't mind the size of the Lava Tube, that's a really good kit. Most people don't start off with a VV PV, but if you don't mind the length (it's about the size of a large cigar without the atomizer/cartomizer), it's a really good system. You want to get cartomizers or a cartomizer tank for it in the 2.5 - 3.0 ohm range (regular to high-voltage cartos).

I have a question though, if someone could help.

If I get the ego, could I use the Dual Coil 5ml tank with it? The tank comes with a 1.6 ohm cart, but they sell replacements that are 2.5 ohm.

Should I get the tank as well? If so, should I get the 2.5 ohm carts?

I'm not crazy about the Mad Vapes offering. They sell SmokTech eGos, not the genuine Joye model. Although, they might work for you fine, they won't be as reliable as the Joye eGo.

You might like the 1.6 ohm cart, so sure. As for the 2.5 ohm cart, I'm not sure. Carto tanks tend to mute the flavour, so you might not be crazy about the 2.5 ohm carts. However, the 2.5 ohm carts won't burn as much juice and your battery will last longer.

Yes, I do. I use the 2.0 replacement cartos.

You should defiantly without a doubt pick up some cartomizers. 2.5 ohm cart... It looks like you're referring to a tank? A tad confused with the wording there. However if you are referring to a tank its completely up to you higher ohms will just mean cooler vaper. If you end up disliking tanks you sure will be glad you have at least a pack of cartomizers.

I didn't see page two of my post here until after I made the purchase, so I didn't catch that their ego was a re-branded smoketech. I may not have gotten it had I read this earlier.

Hopefully I get a good one... The kit actually went on sale while I was shopping for them lastnight.. was kind of an impulse reaction that made me get it. That was a great marketing technique if that was intentional.

Well, you just need a kit, cartos and juice to keep you going.

Juice can be a little bit tricky in the beginning. You want to be sure you have enough of a flavour you like and in the right strength.

I'd go with what you first suggested; the Volcano is better than any Ego or Kgo, especially if it is variable voltage. Why spend $45 on an Ego or Kgo when you know you want something better?
