Hey everybody, it's nice to finally be part of the forum. First I'd like to thank everyone for all the help I've already indirectly received reading your forums. You guys are all very helpful.

Secondly I had a question of my own, I'm currently using a Mvp 2, aspire nnova-s combo along with the stock iclear-30 it came with, I just recently received an Ehpro kayfun clone for use currently on my mvp. My first coil build was with 28 gauge kanthal and im guessing silica whicking.

It went fine, I ended up at .99 ohms and it fires fine, but then my vape turned terrible and just tasted awful, then realizing I was pushing 3.5 amps and only using the near minimal of my battery I realized I had a problem.

Long story slightly short,
I then got two more feet of kanthal but was forced to buy 26 gauge which turned out to be awfully difficult to work with and all was lost.

So now I'm waiting for more wire, and enthusiasm to build again.
I was considering dual coil, I tried with the 26 g but it was .7 ohms when I was done even with 2, 5/6 wrapped coils.

Basically anyone have any suggestions for my next build? Any beginners tips? Coiling techniques or suggestions for my specific build?

Thanks in advance to anyone who read this sorry it was so long lol

I'd recommend get 50-100 ft of 28 gauge kanthal on ebay for cheap. Also some organic cotton.

Try 9-12 wrap micro coil on 5/64 drill bit to read out around 1.4-1.6 ohm.

If using cotton you want it to slide back and forth through the coil with a very slight amount of resistance. This is usually where getting kayfun build down takes little practice. Issues usually too little cotton or too much cotton. Needs to be slight amount of room for cotton to expand...if its tight then expands it wont wick well and burnt cotton not so tasty.

Unfortunely can't give any advise on the silicia wick...as only tried it once or twice.

Good luck!
