I came across ecigs about a month ago. During my research, I came across this site, which has been immensely helpful. I am really thankful I found this site
I'd like to share my experience with the ecig, so here goes. Due to my job, I am on the road about 40% of the time; I spend about 40% of my time in front of a computer; and the other 20% is spent in miscellaneous areas. After much consideration, I decided a usb ecig would be best for me, and a car ecig too.
I checked all the suppliers here and found the Janty KB which seemed ideal for me but with initial cost plus spare parts, it was just out of my price range. I then came across the usb ecig on the bestecig site. Since it was only $10, I gave it a shot. I purchased that, an atomizer, some cartridges and a juice and it was $50, shipping included.
After trying it and feeling it could work for me, I ordered 2 more....one for use in my car and one for use at work. I also ordered a usb car charger ($2 on ebay) and a couple of usb wall chargers ($2 each also on ebay). I did this so I wouldn't have to depend on batteries (for the most part anyway).
But, still needing some device when I am out and about, I also ordered one of their penstyle ecigs. All the parts are interchangeable with my usb cig. I tried that and liked it too and was debating on buying another set for spares when I came across a member here who was selling the same set for a little less than I would have paid on bestecig, so I ordered that and am waiting for it now.
I've been doing this for 9 days now....probably still too new to make any final assessments but I can say this for sure. I love the usb so far....no battery maintenance nor atomizer problems (yet). I also like the penstyle and what I do now is when at the computer, I alternate between the 2....a few hits on the usb, then a few hits off the pen. I am still smoking analogs but went from 2.5 to 3 packs down to around a half a pack. Since I had not really planned on quitting the analogs right away, this is really good for me. I am hopeful that once I get everything squared away, I will join the masses of non-tobacco users here
My review of the penstyle: Right now, I charge one battery overnight, when I take that one off the charger in the morning, I put the other one on. Right now, the battery is lasting me all day so I just swap them in the morning so they pretty much end up with a 24 hour charge. When I get my other set, I will carry 2 with me in the day and put the other two on to charge At least I will have these to alternate with the usb...and for the occasions where I can't use the usb. (2 full pens plus a bottle of juice should last me no matter where I go. I'd rather do that than just carry spare parts.)
There wasn't much vapor in either unit and quite honestly, I did not feel I was getting enough nicotine, nor throat hit. Then I saw some posts here which helped me immensely. One was where the poster said to not inhale. I tried that and found the vapor was there...it just wasn't getting into my system. (Everything else was good....battery was working with a full charge....new atomizer....new cart, etc.)
Even though I had the vapor, I still couldn't seem to feel the inhale at the throat until another poster said to try a direct inhale to the lungs. That, my friends, was awesome....and the answer. It took a few tries to get used to but now I do not take the smoke into my mouth then inhale...I just draw it straight back to the throat. I now finally feel like I'm vapin'!
But I noticed I could only do this 2-3 times, then the vapor diminished...and that is why I alternate between 2 now. I use one for a couple of drags, then the other. This seems to give them a chance to "rest" in between. Works for me!
What I think of bestecig: Their prices are phenomenal, even with the $20 shipping charge. And that Beci is great at responding to my emails. The downside is that they don't have many juice flavors so I am (patiently) waiting for the Totallywicked line to open in the US. There are 3 flavors I want to try right now: banana, coconut and coffee.
When I get all my supplies, I might look into what Janty is offering next month but honestly, right now I am satisfied with what I have. I will definitely be updating my review after further use.
BTW....I have been smoking for 36 years, over 2 packs a day for at least 20 of those. I am really looking forward to eventually becoming "tobacco free".
Well, I guess this is long enough. Thanks all for reading...and all your invaluable information.
