I apologize for the lack of formal introduction, I'm one of those people who enjoys vaping discreetly. My wife knows I vape, etc. But at the office I have to be quick and quiet about it. I love my eleaf Istick unit. I use a Kanger glass atomizer (LOVE the glass as far as taste goes). I use an adapter and dual coil atomizers.

I am not so well-informed on the hardware that I am in the "Well, that's to be expected" camp. I am looking for a solution to this problem that is more permanent and cost effective. As I said, I *LOVE* the battery itself. It does not need a lot of recharging, feels good in the hand, not so long that it can't be easily concealed in my pocket, etc. But my problem is the atomizers. After four days the flavor starts to go off. And by day five it's simply nasty. I put up with it to try and make my atomizers go as far as possible, but it gets soon to the point where I can't stand it, and just put another one in.

Is there something that lasts longer (a lot longer) and provides clean vapor with good flavor reliably, or is the proverbial "nature of the beast" when it comes to these units? It seems every year there's some "better" way to do things. I started with a cotton in resin, then a clear resin deal with a ... I can't remember the brand name. Darn it. Like a super thick pen with a semi-transparent tank that was acryllic. Then the class atomizers on that thick pen style battery, and now these atomizers (which I *swear* are burning out faster and faster than they ever did, and I am increasingly sure are being made poorly deliberately so that we funnel more cash... Sory for the beginnings of a rant, I'm of low means and I take it personally) are burning out so fast that I find myself spending $50.00 a month at least on juice and attys when it was 25 before.

Is there something that:

1.) Fits on the eleaf without needing an adaptor?

2.) Simply lasts longer, and needs maybe maintenance or a cleaning solution to keep going?

I'm sorry if all this sounds silly. I'm just looking to improve the quality of the vaping and the longevity of parts. Many thanks to all who might or at least are willing to try helping. I hope there aren't too many eyes rolling at how often this question gets asked, I can't seem to find satisfactory answers searching around, so I thought I'd try and pick the minds of some folks here.

Cheers.

If the tank/coils are a problem for you you'll need to try a different tank with different coils. You may get similar results but hey, you might also find what you want. I'd recommend a Nautilus tank. I believe the single coil that kanger makes will also fit in your current tank, may wanna try that first. hth, Cheers.

Edit. You won't need an adapter with the naughty tank, it's a 510 connection not ego.

For a built-in battery, the iStick 50w is around the highest capacity available. If you want a device that lasts longer, you'd have to look into some of the newer devices that take three external batteries--which would also mean purchasing said batteries and a charger.

With regards to the tank, it sounds as if you are using an Evod Glass or Aerotank Mini. If you enjoy the tank with the only exception being the longevity of the coil heads, you could look into rebuilding them. Here is a link to the process of re-wicking a coil (which breathes new life into one for a while--although I also suggest dry-burning while you are doing this so that the coil lasts longer): Stop throwing away your protank coils. You can also rebuild the coil itself--there are many youtube videos on this topic. (As a side note, one trick that I did was to use the dual coil head, but make a single, larger coil in an oblong shape to fit, and this worked wonderfully.) If you do choose to rebuild, I'd suggest checking out Lightning Vapes - All the RBA supplies you need, shipped same day! (they also have things like protank head insulators so you don't have to worry about breaking those while rebuilding--and believe me, it happens).

If you wish to upgrade your tank (either in capacity or performance), you have plenty of options. Some suggestions have already been made. I'd also suggest looking into something like a Kanger Subtank Mini--this gives you the option of using pre-made coil heads (in various resistances) or making your own coils in an included RBA section (RBA sections are available for some other kinds of tanks, but usually as an additional purchase). While the subtank implies sub-ohming, it does not have to be: some of the coil heads come in 1.2- ohm resistances; and, of course, if you use the RBA section you can always make your coil to any resistance you like. (Your iStick 50W can be used down to 0.4- ohms, I believe, so you shouldn't have any problems in that regard.)

One last suggestion: if you are happy with the production of your current tank (and it is, indeed, an Evod or Aerotank Mini), and you feel you already have a significant investment in atomizer heads (either new or used, with a plan to rebuild them), you could also look into an Aerotank/Genitank (pretty much the same tank, the first uses pure stainless steel, the other uses steel plating--but both use glass). These types of tanks use the exact same type of heads as the Evod/Aerotank Mini and, being a little on the older side, can probably be found at an affordable price (if you can find them at all).

Hope that helps!
