Hi all,

I am starting to get to 5 posts with this one!

My name is Lutz, I live in Berlin and vape since 5. Nov 2012.

Hardware is nearly all joyetech (eGo-T, -C and 510-T), one Vision Clearomizer, couple of Boge 510D cartos.
Software mostly Inawera and FlavourArt, both flavours and bases. Ready-to-vape juice I only used in the first couple of days, within less than 2 weeks I went DIY.

My motivation for vaping is to quit smoking (mostly done!). That is also the reason I only use cigarette and cigar size hardware.
Besides the 510-T, I am waiting for an upgraded version of the eRoll (which I'd love to have NOW, but so far I am happy enough with the 510-T).

So much for now,
greetings from Berlin,
Lutz

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys :)
fed71 and cactus71 - are you both born that year? If yes: Me too! We are ... uhm ... yearlings? :D

fed71: Yeah I will. But communicating internationally is the most important thing for me here. Always good to hear what vapors in other parts of the world are thinking n vaping!

cactus71: I started with ego-T, after 2.5 month first atty died, so I got me the ego-C upgrade (2x bases+cones + 5x attys, about the same cost as 6 T-attys). I am happy with size, taste and ease-of-use, so no reason to change so far. I do not plan to do great experimenting with variable voltage (ok, maybe an ego twist battery sometime ;) and such stuff, I want just a good cigarette replacement.
Main reason for DIY juices for me was that I wanted really low-Nic stuff for evening vaping, like 2mg/ml, but now I almost always mix myself. So far, all flavors but one were okay or great, and now I can combine whatever I want :) And, of course it saves tons of money!

So long,
greets,
Lutz

Welcome Lutz,
Can I ask what your username refers to.

Thanks Neil - and yeah, you re welcome to ask.

It's just D4T3N7OD = DATENTOD

A german word, literally meaning "Data Death" or "death of data". Got that name some long time ago from fellow gamers because my hdd died and took everything with it (and no backup). So I thought it would be a nice nickname for the internet ;)

Regards!
Lutz

welcome Lutz !
I lived in Berlin for seven years.....Berlin, New Hampshire that is !:toast:

I too started with my eGo-C kit. Love it and can't foresee not using it Day to Day ever, it's so portable.
Also into DYI too, with The Flavor Apprentice flavoring, great stuff- saves money ( No it doesn't- you just buy more stuff )
and you get to make the Flavors you like.

Into my eVic now for around the home use.

We all welcome you, and hope you all to our Vapping discussions.

Vape On !

Thanks DJ!

Yeah, the money saving starts as soon as you got all the flavors you want and/or need :D I think I'll stop at three dozen or so!

TFA/TPA are surely to be tried - esp the TPA Tobacco Absolute and T. Extract are said to give the best tobacco flavor ever, though for experienced DIYers, it seems. Also, delivery to Europa is quite expensive and takes a long time, but many shops here sell their stuff, more expensive, for sure, but ok for small orders.

As you say: The ego-c system is just user-friendly and pretty portable. I got 1000mAh PT batteries, and with a full batt and a couple of tanks I am good for the day. I also own 2 of those cartridge attys, but I only use them for dripping/testing flavors at home, soaking the filler correctly is quite an art of itself.

With the 510-T battery, I often use Boge cartos, have a handful of them with me in a zip lock bag and put them in a second bag when empty, refilling all of them at home with the condom method. Quick and easy, but no match to the tank systems... but even more portable!

The eVic, seems to be a great device, but I try to keep it simple. It's enough I am trying all kinds of flavor and combinations, now if I started frigging around with volts and watts, my girlfriend would feel neglected ;)

You know, you justed wanted to quit smoking, and now ... you got a new hobby

:toast: :smoke:

Greets,
Lutz

Indeed I am and I like that term... yearlings. :toast:

I'd like to DIY juice because for years, I've played bartender for our get-togethers and have come up with some original, flavorful, and deceptively potent concoctions  and think it'd be just a fun applying that knowledge to juices as well. That, and of course saving some dosh too.
