It can seem like a lot at first. People will sugget a lot of different things. I would skip any small batteries and start with the following:

-2 eGo Twist batteries & charger
-A few boxes of Boge 510 SR (standard resistance) Cartomizers.
-juice from Backwoods Brew and/or NLV
-A couple of cheap 510 drip tips.

If you decide to try it, make sure you read up on anything you purchase, and enjoy it!

I agree on skipping the small batteries. I have a Joye eGo Twist 1,000 mAh, but I have their tank and see no problem with it. I am going to get a Mini Vivi Nova to go with it soon. I haven't used the 510, but several people seem to like the Boge. Find a tasty juice, and you're good to go.

Welcome to the forums :) Since you are from Canada I suggest you get 5 posts, and then go to the Canadian forum here. There is a sticky there with all the vendors in Canada for equipment and juices. You just have to PM one of the guys listed in the thread and they will send you the lists.

Also you can see the benefits/drawbacks from ordering from the States. I ordered some juice for a friend in Canada, and its been stuck in customs (I think) for 10 days so far. Most people don't have issues, other than waiting on customs, but supposedly a small percent has been seized. You can get better info from the Canadian sub forum, as I live in the states :p

Good luck on your vaping endeavor, it really does work :)

Welcome fellow Canadian! There is a lot to learn, and you are in the perfect forum to understand what you will need to know. I was swamped with an overload of info - finally filtered it down into usable portions. It takes time to find the perfect e-cig, and you are definitely worth the time.

Cheers and Happy Vaping:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Welcome you've come to the right place. Whatever you choose just keep at it! There's tons of info here, I think I read for a week before I made my first pv purchase :)
Been reading all last night, and was overloaded with all the diff kinds of mods/juices/etc... just ordered a starter kit to get things started haha

Thanks for the suggestion! I was split between the joyetech ego and 510, but decided go with the 510-tank because of the good output considering its size. And it seems like lower maintenance besides the batt life.

Also, you recommend Boge 510 SR (3ohm) for that? I ordered the LR (2ohm) because the atomizer was listed as 2.2ohm... would either one work for the 510-t or should I request the SR instead?

LR is fine, but keep in mind that the 510-T comes with atomizer+tank (if you ordered the original kit). With this setup, you fill the tank and attach it to the atomizer. The Boge's are cartomizers, in which case you will remove the atomizer+tank assembly and simply install the cartomizer (filled with juice) to the battery. Just want to make sure that you are aware of the difference. I am assuming (and speaking for most others) that this set up will eventually leave you wanting more, and you will probably upgrade to the eGo Twist (a great introduction to variable voltage devices). So keep in mind my original suggestion. I started out with 510-T and ditched it in like a week.
