Agreed. Its just that so many of these conversations with local importers put me off. One guy explicitly said that I am asking for trouble if I import. So thats caused some discoloration to my patience :(
Yea Dude but I'm betting (your Rupees :) ) that those importers you've been speaking with
are IMPORTERS..they are in the BUSINESS of importing and selling stuff.
Given the possible legal obstacles to surmount if vape merchandise is restricted or banned further
I would agree with those importers that getting into importing vape stuff is asking for trouble...FOR THEM

BUT YOU AREN'T getting into the business..you're a customer.
other than risking confiscation of your ordered goods about the only trouble you might experience is having to read a nasty letter.
Don't be a pessimist, Bro.

Gotcha. So I guess the Scion and the Cascade would feed the rotation. Wouldnt that be sufficient?
What works for you personally is sufficient. If you chain vape using all three tanks throughout the day will naturally increase the odds all 3 coils will last longer. vaping on the same coil all day will shorten how long the wick will continue to provide good flavor. Remember every hit heats not only the coil but the juice and the tank itself leading to caramelization. This is what will affect your wicks life. Spreading that out across several tanks keeps you a happy vaper.

Thats a great tip. Thanks. I would have definitely not followed that !!
Also different brands of batteries wont affect the mod per se right? I see some good prices on Samsung 30Q and 25R. So just wanted to check on that before I get my next 2 batteries
Different brands do matter to an extent. For an example I was using LG HG2 and samsung 30q for the last 1.5y. When I ordered batteries this year I switched to Sony VTC6 batteries. I always get very good performance from the HG2 and 30q but chose more cycle life over run time. I decided I would rather sacrifice more cycles for longer run time. With the VTC6 I get up to 2-2.5 full days from each setup. But I will need to order batteries a month or two earlier than usual. There is always a trade off with battery choice imo. Baditude can explain better than myself.

The Aspire Cleito Exo looks like a fine tank.

Top-Fill, Top-Airflow (leak resistant), tank glass has a metal exoskeleton, takes both Cleito and Cleito Exo goils, an RTA deck is available, and replacement seal/o-ring sets are available. There's hardly more to want from such a device...

The Wismec Ravage 230 seems to have a reputation as a workhorse. And it looks damn good.

Ok, will wait to hear from @Baditude
I remember you telling me that you have an RTA as your current setup right? Which one (just out of curiosity and future reference of course!) and what constitutes your currently being used vape setups?

@tailland
So cleito over the Scion right? And ravager is highly regarded but the cylon just seems better value for money. Even the ranker at 3.8K is good value as it is exactly the same as cylon but just different in form. Will read up more on ravager and cleito to see if it warrants a change. Thanks for the information

Um just an update on the Smoant Cylon there have been issues with the ah, color screen developing lines across it, it was rumored this was fixed with the newer Cylons, but mine started sprouting lines a few days ago and Smoant is offering a DIFFERNT mod with the warranty process which I sincerely hope I can slip mine in under the wire, because pretty much if you get the lines across the screen issue, the display will be toast. Given the difficulty of like getting one to you, I might reconsider that choice.

I'm sorry, this came up Very Recently-ish on the Smoant Cylon thread which you may want to take a look at. I don't regret my purchase even if Smoant is all like, "Oh, that's too bad" because it is an awesome mod while it lasts, so in a way I don't mind, perhaps, and mine STARTED come to think, when I turned my BRIGHTNESS setting down. IDK if that was enough to do it but well, mods really should have more than a 3 month shelf life.

Brands do matter. Try to use only batteries made by Lg, Samsung, or Sony (Murata). Equally important, pay attention to the specifications like "continuous discharge rate" (amps) and "mAh". Amps determine how many watts a regulated mod can generate. At the same time, a battery with more mAh will last longer on a charge.

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, you're good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.

- You don't necessarily need a 30 amp battery if you only vape at 30 watts. A 15 amp 3000 mAh battery will do just as well providing up to 45 watts...and with more mAh likely will last longer than a 1500 mAh 30 amp battery.

Yes sir, will stick with lg hg2 for now. At least I’m able to find it. Your battery blog post is bookmarked and what I follow. Really useful stuff those guides, so heartfelt thanks for those!

@stols001
Oh no! Why oh why, just when I thought it was all hunky dory. I don’t want to do this again. So what would be your replacement (from my list of course!)? I am not looking forward to this :(

constitutes your currently being used vape setups
Daily rotation includes 4 OBS Engine Nanos and an Augvape Intake, both single coil rtas; paired with 3 Lost Vape Therions, Dovpo MVV, and an Think Vape Exus Ark, all dual 18650. I also have a Therion bf / Recurve rda set up and a Smoant Charon VW paired with a DPro mini rda. I have other attys I use occasionally. I also have a Smoant Cylon, it has no screen issues but I don't use it often, more of a backup mod for me. If you can get the Smoant Charon tc I would recommend it over the Ranker. I get excellent performance from both the Charon tc and Adjustable. Rock solid devices as is the Battlestar.

Personally I would skip the Battlestar mini, I can't remember why, it's been a while. Maybe @Coastal Cowboy can chime in about it. It well have been some small thing, I am rather picky about gear.

The Crown III is a good tank but higher wattage coils iirc. Stock up on juice if you can get a sale price; read you have found some you like.
@K Ananthakrishnan ... The Battlestar Mini has issues.

First, in any of the Temperature Control modes, the device screen reads "WALT" instead of "VOLT" or "WATT." That's a cosmetic issue.

In SS mode, the TCR value is way too high and you'll need to set it to some other value through trial and error.

Also in any TC mode, the mod will not read initial resistance correctly and a new atomizer needs to be attached in wattage mode. Then when you get to SS/TI/NI/TCR mode, tell it to use the old resistance value. My experience is that it wants to read resistance at half of what's actually installed.

If you only plan to use it in wattage mode, none of these will affect you. It's a nice little pocket mod and it is dirt cheap. It's really Smoant's only bad offering.

Thanks for that. Man, all new gear as far as my ears go :D
Smoant Charon TC 218
Smoant Charon Mini 225
Smoant Charon 218 TS
Which one are you referring to? I am guessing the mini 225 right?

@stols001
No ma'am !! Dont have a first runner up. I thought I had a clear winner, naive me !!
I guess only the charon mini and the ravage 230 are in the offing now. But that damn vendor for the ravage just wont respond to my queries, I am so scared of getting a DOA device and struggling to get it replaced :(
All cynical now :)

@Coastal Cowboy
Thanks for all that information, most appreciated.
I definitely intend to use it only in the watt mode, no TC for me, (for now!)
I really wish it was dirt cheap out here but it is not in my main list as I had decided to go with a dual. Maybe single is the way to go for me !!

I just spoke with the vendor on the Cylon. He was aware of the lines happening and he said that Smoant have corrected it. Plus he claims he has the newer batch that does not suffer from the display issue. Furthermore, he said that there is a 3 month warranty and even if I face the issue he would help with the replacement. So what do I do? The ravage 230 guy is just not answering my queries and the Charon is the only other option. I get a 10% on the Cylon, BTW !! I dont want to "fingers crossed" for another order :(
