Hello from Kentuckyland, just tried E-cigs for the first time today.

Hey thanks a bunch NeilBJr, may have to give VZ Gramps a try.

Hello Liztl, I'm doing pretty well with the 'cowboy' juice, I think I'll get some menthol as it seems like would be pretty easy to pull off.

dbodin, thanks so much for the links. I'm actually not fussy about a form factor, but I did read that the cig size units were by and large cr*p which is why I went with a well reviewed unit.

Very nice to meet you all! :toast:

You might try Heather's Heavenly Vapor. When I was new to vaping, coming off 1 to 2 packs of Marlboros a day, I thought I needed tobacco to make it. Heather's has some very tobacco flavors. Personally after 3 months I rarely use tobacco flavors and am willing to try almost anything. Into fruits and bakery at the moment, but Nude Nicotine has a Honey Tobacco I just love.

BTW: Keep at it. Congrats on quitting.

Well, I do declare that I've been lurking. :) I've quite frankly tried many ways to quit, but I haven't picked up my pipe for around five hours for the first time in ages. Just got my kit today late afternoon, sorted it no worries and it flippin' works! I've read so many accounts of people quitting the day they get their first kit and so far so good! I have really high hopes of never going back to tobacco although I do have some left and it may be tempting to A/B for the heck of it, but I can't believe the throat hit and vapor that's exactly like smoke to me.

Wee bit of history, I'm quite old, smoked most of my life, menthol cigs in college but most of my life half cowboys (Marlboro lights). Cigs got stupid expensive so I switched to a pipe, tried many tobaccos and settled on Prince Albert luxury pouch (crimp cut sucks when compared to the lux pouch).

I can't seem to find it, but a couple of days ago I found a thread on perfect starter kit. I'm very right brained and find it difficult to remember facts and figures over impressions but ordered the emax kit and I'm very impressed for the first day. Actually, quite floored and it's working and fulfilling my urges and as I said, only five hours, but I'm understanding how people can drop the habit the day they start with the e-cigs! Very open eyes and happy right this minute!

I have some questions and will sort the proper forum headers to ask, but just in case, if anyone ever smoked Prince Albert in a pipe, is there a close E liquid to that?

I got the Marlboro equivalent with my kit and I like it. I also got 555 or T-5 and it's got this cow dung aftertaste that's freaking me out in a bad way. Could I mix menthol with it and save it?

Also, I'm not really into tutty fruity flavors per se but for those of you who replaced tobacco with these loverly e-cigs, are there like food flavors you've started to really dig?

Thanks to anyone who responds! :)

I get my juices from EC Blend or one of our local vape shops

I tossed my tobacco products (chew and a couple packs of cigarettes) the second day after I got my starter kit. You won't miss them. A common thing I've heard so far in my brief experience with vaping is that people will get tobacco flavored juices and start to hate them a little down the line. To each their own though, many don't mind the familiar taste. Nice to see someone else from the Kentucky area! Welcome to the vaping club! The people on these forums are so helpful and nice it's almost ridiculous!

Just keep in mind the end result you want, and go for it.
I was a 53+ year smoker, mostly 1- 1/2 pad, then 5 years ago switched to cigars because of the cost of cigs.
Tried the Blu c--p about 3 years ago,, lacking (being nice).
Stopped into a new vape shop in Jan and they talked me into a couple of ego's, and haven't had a cigar since, AND no desire for one.
You have to try GQ's Caviar if you want a good coffee/carmel taste.

Most of them are fairly terrible. I have a nice little KR808D-1 kit, which I sometimes use. As long as the battery is fresh (it has a PCC) it works quite well. The worst ones are often the most expensive... (in the UK, anyway)...

Well, I went up to the local smoke shop yesterday and got a vial of menthol and it's pretty cool. I may try adding it to the nasty flavor I got and see how it goes, although I'll let the 555 steep for awhile and hope the aftertaste subsides a bit.

Also cool to see all the Kentucky people around and about. (Love your location Jaymus, Ha!)

djsvapour, where do you hail from? (I have a best friend in Trowbridge, Wilts)

Cornbread, I am writing down flavors and dave51, good points, thanks!

I'm just 24 hours DonDripper, but I can see how this has a way better chance of working than the gum or other methods.

Another you can try is desert ship its very similar to what camels tasted like many years ago or lucky strikes lol

And advice from a pipe smoker of 30 years vape the same way you would smoke a pipe small sips and wait a few seconds just like you would let a pipe stay cool
that way you will never have aq dry hit

Not trying to tell my age lol
