I think it would be well worth you doing so Clivia :) I believe that in the Vape Escape shop, you can try most things out before you buy. Plus tasting different e-liquids.

BTW, you mentioned having a big cat in a previous post? I've got 7 rather large Maine Coons :D

main coons are my absolute favourite cats - I generally love big animals - so the one on the pic is one of your main coons - beautiful - our little lord of the house is a former stray cat -and he is really big - not quite like a main .... - but big - he is now with us for over 3 years and has us well trained :D

so Heywood would be the closest recommendable shop then - sounds great that you can taste before buying - how is the one in Doncaster ?

Yes, that is Kiki in my avatar, she is a darling :D Most of my Maine Coons have been rehomed to me as the previous owners didn't want them any more :( Lol, cats are so good at training us to be their slaves :D

I can't recommend Vape Escape in Heywood enough. I don't think I've ever heard one bad word about them, just tons of praise as their customer service is second to none.

Can't help with the Doncaster one as I've not come across any feedback about them.

Sorry I'm a bit late back to the party (been watching the F1 qualifying session).
Looks like plenty of other posters answered the Evod question, as well as plenty of other questions too

For my tastes the Evod, gives a more pronounced flavour than a lot of other similar priced delivery systems. Must admit, I do prefer flavour over throat hit.

If you do decided to go to Vape Escape in Heywood, make sure you go to the right shop. The first time I went there, I thought they were closed for dinner, all the shutters were down. Realised on the way back home, that they've actually moved premises, to another building further down the road
The new place is on the corner of Green Lane, just to let you know. It's only a 10 minute journey by car for me, so pretty good.
Also TW have opened a stall on Kirkgate Market in Leeds from what I've heard.

There are plenty of places over here on the wetter side of the Pennines :D
You've got Liberty Flights, Vape Escape, Totally Wicked - all decent sized businesses. I've even got an ecig shop 5 minutes walking distance from my house. I got started with his basic ego kit and juice, but don't tend to use him much now, as I like the more advanced kit

thanks a lot trouble - definitely check the shop in Leeds market - Heywood is about an hours drive from us - so something for a Saturday - hubby agreed already - he too is so happy that I am a vaperer ( hope that's the correct term :vapor: ) now.
IT's early days so both is important - flavour and throat hit.
Maybe it's even good that there are not too many shops around - at the moment I am on a total 'vaping trip' - but I have sold all the sealed tobacco bags ( I always buy them in Austria - am Austrian - when I visit my mum ) I still had to my colleagues and will use that money for vaping.

one more question please : how often do you change the atomiser head?

I don't know if it's a huge selection on Leeds market, or if they are just running e-cig gear as an extra line.

But if you're planning on coming over to Heywood anyway, I'd stick with Vape Escape.

Atomizer heads can last anything from a week to 3 months, depending on how much you use the device and the type of juice you use. I generally just clean my tanks out once a week and when the flavour starts to drop off or taste burnt I'll change the atty.

Obviously, if you're just using one delivery device the atty will need replacing more often, as long as you've got some spare attys you can't go wrong.
I tend to have at least 3 different set-ups on the go throughout the day :D
It's a bit of a journey, trying to find your favourite set-up, but that's all part of the fun

Hi and welcome!

As you now know vaping is just great - as is this forum!

The main thing at the beginning imho is to taste a lot of different liquids and have plenty of spare batteries for whatever you use. If you're using Evods get some spare heads - they just screw in.

Good luck & have fun!

+1 on what e-pipeman said about spares and having fun.

Some people clean their clearomiser every week some don't bother at all. My niece just gets a new clearo every 2-3 weeks and throws the old one away, she does use the same juice flavour constantly though. My sister can make a clearo last well over 2 months, she's not a heavy vaper.

All clearos are similar in that they have a tube that holds the liquid, an atty (containing a wick and coil) to vapourize the juice and a top cap with a tip (so you don't get bits of juice in your mouth).

Most clearos you just unscrew the top cap, unscrew the bottom cap (which usually holds the atty) and give it all a wash and let it dry.

Probably the best thing to do is have a look on you-tube for cleaning/taking apart your specific type of clearo. That's how I pick up a lot of info, videos are easy to follow :D Plus you'll also get info there on changing attys, dry burns etc.

Here's a useful rule imho - if it ain't broke don't fix it. It's possible to muck up your atty with washing, dry burns etc.. All good things to do if stuff starts tasting like the crusty bit of a tramp's pants, but while it's working fine then leave it alone. Just my opinion - others will disagree. :)

One thing you can do without harm occasionally is a stiff blow down the battery end of your delivery device (atty, clearo, evod head etc). This can clear excess liquid and gunk.

Now there's a juice I'd rather not sample ;)

To be honest, I just like to take things apart. Maybe it helps with the cleaning, maybe it doesn't. I love finding out how things work though, I'm strange like that

Nothing strange about that - it's good to see what's inside stuff - which is why roadkill can be fun.

But you're quite right - seeing how things work is good, disassembly is good (if you can put it back together again). I'm just not one of those "remove one flavour wick and steep it in a jar of vodka for a decade" kind of people. :)

I still am a bit suspicious about the sweet food flavours - like bananasplit - but maybe also because I am not a sweet tooth - and my favourite food is sushi - and I don't think I want to smoke raw fish  - but have ordered brandy and whiskey :toast: and clove - which makes me think that champagne would be nice - hm an idea for the next order

Perhaps if you are very, very brave follow vapers will be in awe of your courage. e-Juices :: Flavor Range :: Savory :: Tuna
