Hello from MN

Thank you for all of the information on this forum! I bought my first real vape set up almost two weeks ago and I have learned so much here already.

Exactly one week in, I upgraded my vision spinner to the larger vision spinner along with a couple of protanks. Hopefully this set up will last me longer than one week.

The one issue that I have had is that I was vaping the same flavor all day, every day. Saturday night, I suddenly couldn't taste it. Tried another flavor that I didn't like and I could taste that one just fine. Cleaned out the tanks but still no taste. Thankfully a local shop was open late and I was able to get a couple of flavors that I could taste. Three days later and I still can't taste any watermelon juice. I hope I didn't permanently kill off my taste for watermelon.

A weird pro to vaping is that I have been a candyholic for years. I had to have some sugary sweet every single day. I haven't had any candy since I started vaping. So between the cost savings of not smoking analogs (4 days) and not buying candy daily I should save a lot assuming I don't upgrade my equipment weekly.

i read sumwhere that that happens sumtimes if u vape the same flavor all day thank god it has not happened to me yet but i normally switch between 3 flavors at work cause i bring 3 mini tanks to work and 2 big tanks when i get home give it a day or 2 hopefully the flavor will come back i try to keep as many flavors i like on hand as possible what kind of watermelon were u vaping? (just curious i like watermelon also)

Hi Jen,

that will happen, your 'taste buds' are adjusting to vaping like the rest of you is...
think of a wine tester, needing to cleanse the palate-- a drink of water eat a piece of bread
also PG and VG try to dehydrate you so you need more water intake

when I start chain vaping, I like to swish water around in my mouth to 'cool' things down a bit...

Welcome aboard! I find that I need to change up my flavors pretty often, which is kinda funny since I was content to smoke the same cigarettes hour after hour, day after day for years. But vaping is a different animal, as you've discovered.

Hi fellow Minnesotan! You seem to be where I was last week. My taste buds all died. Couldn't taste anything. I will say however, I can't vape the same thing all day. I have found 3 favors I really enjoy and have a tank with each in it. I switch tanks based on my mood. One tobacco, one sweet and one peppermint. I have found by doing that I can taste them all really well. I'm also drinking constantly!!! Be sure you do, even if you just swish it around and spit it out. Welcome to the awesome world of vaping!

Vaping really dries out the mouth, especially with that airy draw of the protank. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids while you're vaping. That should help the taste buds.

I too had that issue. Only vaped one flavor for about a week actually then wanted to try a few more and couldn't taste them.
Just had to calm it down for a day or so and re-tried the new flavors and they tasted fantastic. Now like others, I rotate between about 4 flavors and am now growing my juice collection rapidly.
Be careful, it's a hobby but it's an addicting one.
