Just starting out saying hi. New e-cig user. Have used the stick battery cigarette looking ones in the past for studying but never really got on board unless absolutely necessary. However due to poor health, I knew i had to quit smoking but was petrified by the idea. So I went out and got an Ego. I love it. The throat hit was a little harsh at first and I am still easing off the cigarettes to strictly vaping. 5 more to go and I am done (again).

Welcome to ECF Johnny, and I hope your health improves. Egos are a great device, they have proven their worth and are a part of many vapors arsenal. This is the place to read and learn, and people here are eager to help if you have any questions. We all were new at one time, and most of us found help here.

Hi johnnynobueno, welcome to ECF and to vaping! You got some great advice from Abbell. I've also seen new vapers find it a bit harsh at first, but that generally passes as they get more experienced. Sometimes it's nic level, sometimes juice ingredients and sometimes just technique.

Feel free to ask any questions that come up here :thumb:

I'm about in the same boat, 3 weeks in, was a heavy cigar smoker, quit all together and got a ce4 i think it was called, moved fast away from that to a kanger protank II and an ego twist vv 1000mah, was a rough start as i didn't know what nic mg to use, I'm at 24 mg now and feel awesome, also have issues with PG base so have 100% VG now

Well after dealing with hectic filming schedule, fall semester, moving, gf drama, roommate drama, needless to say I fell victim to cigarettes again. Luckily, after Christmas, having seen my cousin who gave up smoking entirely 8 months ago, I felt compelled to give it the old college try again. I went out and got myself a new eGo Twist with an Aspire BDC and I am back on board. I am trying to go all the way down to 18, but fluctuating between a couple of 24ml flavors and 18 ml flavors. I rolled one of my roommates cigarettes this morning in a panic after awaking to an uncharged battery. However, I didn't get anything from the cigarette but a bad taste in my mouth. This all seems to very hard sometimes. I can't sleep, I constantly think about smoking when I am not nursing my PV and watching Grimm Green videos. Ugh. Glad this is here.

Glad you are getting back on the vape wagon! Welcome back!

Quitting smoking is NOT an easy task and ECF is a wonderful support system.

The hard part to get past are the mind tricks. It really is kind of ridiculous for your own brain to have such devious methods of trickery. You will just have to find ways that help you....whether it be reminding yourself of the facts (quitting smoking CAN be done and will only make you healthier for example), distracting yourself with forums, grimm green, DIY liquid or even rebuilding. Once you get a method of overcoming the mental part in place you will find a groove and it turns into smoother sailing any who :)
