INTRODUCTION:
Im a long term (30+ years) nicotine addict that never met a delivery mechanism he didnt like. I got my first e-cig from the mall last Monday (Smoke To Live). I really liked the stealth aspects of it, but it wasnt ringing my nic-bell until I went to the local head-shop and got some better juice.
Johnson Creek Original/High (JCO) really does the trick. I liked it so much, I went back and got some Tennessee Cured, and Espresso. The Tennessee Cured seems on the mild side TH-wise, but it has a good flavor, and the Espresso, on closer examination, was labeled as Arctic Menthol. It must have been a bad sorting day at the head-shop.
I never liked menthol cigarettes, but I thought Id give it a try. Turns out, it was mislabeled. Im pretty sure its Chocolate Truffle, which is my favorite so far. Reminds me of the book The Outsiders, when Ponyboy Curtis said, If they made chocolate cigarettes, Id have it made. Its marked high, but I still think it could use a bit more nicotine; maybe it was just a bad day for labeling at Johnson Creek.
While at the head-shop, I picked up a Healty Cig for $12. The cart was wretched and weak, until I popped the top off, and doused (after pulling out the little rubber ring) the filter material with JCO. Now, its not bad at all.
At any rate, Im pretty happy with the e-cigs, and I dont miss analogs at all. The biggest challenge is keeping batteries charged.
TRIVIA:
If you pull the paper and glue off the cartomizer, it has a nice, clean chrome look-and-feel.
ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS NOBODY ASKED YET:
Smokes: American Spirit, PAD, until last Friday, but none since. I love cigars, and pipes too, but I really dont think its a good Idea for me to keep up with the combustibles.
SnakeFarm: I got a hat at a roadside attraction between San Antonio and Austin by that name. The network admin where I had my first programming job saw the hat, and gave me that for an account name. It stuck so well, that I actually signed a check with it.
Snakes? I like snakes; its just that theres just not much meat on em.
Hobbit: No.
Bagpipes: 2010 Dunbar P3 with Celtic engraved ivory ferrules.
Motorcycle: 1999 Red and White Honda Valkyrie!
Car: 2008 Red and Black Smart Passion.
