Hey everyone,

I have been reading the forum for quite a while now. Just wanted to learn as much as possible about vaping before taking the plunge. I started smoking two years ago for the wrong reasons (too much stress at work, a ..... boss mobbing me, thought it would help me cope with it, WRONG!), and gradually worked my way up to 10-15/fags a day.

I hated smoking. Of course, I loved the rush of the nicotine, but I hated how my breath, hands and, ultimately, clothes, smelled. I tried to quit smoking two times. One time by reducing the cigs consumption (didn't work at all for me), one time cold-turkey (worked for 2 months).

Recently, there have been some (heated) debates around e-cigs in Switzerland and so I started to look into it. Apart from an apparent irrational fear from the general public, all the studies I read on the subject led me to the conclusion that it is indeed a (very) good alternative to analogs posing little to now health issue, if done correctly with the right material.

Last week, I ordered a starting kit (eGo-C) and a few e-juices. It got delivered yesterday and, for the moment, I haven't felt the need to light up an analog anymore.

So, well, that's about it. Thought I would say hello and get starting posting a few messages to gain write access to the rest of the forum :)

Have a nice day!

For an ego battery...

i would go with the protank-II mini.
It has a pyrex-glass-tank and the bcc-atomizer-heads work very well imo.
But best of all... the protank-II atomizer heads can be easily rebuilt with
a little kanthal-wire and some cotton or silica wic. Plenty of guides on
how to do that around here and on youtube as well.

The Squape is awesome, but it's really the wrong size for an ego-batt.
But... i think it is great for the beginning vapist, because it is super-easy
to rebuild and impossible to short out (super-safe), because of the unique ematalated
interior. Not to mention hassle free operation... easy filling, no leaks, plenty and tasty vapour.

There are also quite a few "ego-sized" RBAs around... none of which i have experience with...
so i leave others to that. Maybe mention the newish Taifun GS from Germany... i have its bigger
brother the GT, which is my #1 RBA (but the squape not far behind, more options than the squape but not quite as user/beginner-friendly).

Thanks for the detailed review. The Squape is a bit more expensive than what I have in mind for the moment. Just starting, after all... Anyway, I'll keep that in mind in my search!

Have a nice week-end.

Don't worry... the Squape is more expensive than what most people have in mind. ;-)
