Another NE Texan here. I started out with the 1000mah Ego-T type A, after trying out the one my Dr. uses (I had already researched it and was planning on getting one, but being able to try his out while working on the network at his house sold me).
He later switched to low resistance type B tanks and I switched to Boge 2 ohm and SmokTech dual coil 1.5 ohm cartomizers with a drip tip since one of my ego tank attys decided to go out and the other leaked all the time. We swap out occasionally when I'm doing some work at his office or house, he likes my setup, but thinks it looks like a crack pipe, and I like his setup but still have bad memories on the tanks I had.
He just recently ordered a ProVari, while with my electronics background, I am going the homemade VV box mod direction probably (as his IT guy, he doesn't pay me enough to afford a ProVari type mod). I try out the cheap stuff and let him know if I run across something nice, and he of course tries out the expensive stuff and makes me wish I had his money to spend =)
All in all, he quit smoking cigars and dipping/chewing nicorette like it was going out of style after he started
vaping, and I carry 2 analogs in a hard case with my extra cartos in case I feel the need for one (they've been in there for over 2 months now). I couldn't get away from them at first, because I make my own cigs and like a strong menthol. I usually use menthol tobacco stuffed in a menthol tube, but he gave me a big jar of L-Menthol crystals and told me to dissolve in Everclear/PG/ or Vodka and add a drop or two to a tobacco liquid till I liked it. That day was my last regular cig. Can't really say I'm saving any money, since making my own cigs was only about $2 a pack, and vaping has become my new hobby, so I'm always ordering new things to try, but the last analog I smoked tasted horrible compared to my own menthol liquid, so even though I will probably still keep those two smokes in my case, they are definitely a last resort if I still have a carto filled with anything and a battery to power it.
