I'm not super up to date on the latest liquids with a tobacco background but Nicoticket has three that I know of. Radioactive, which has a sassafrass flavor. Wakonda, which has a coffee flavor and The Virus, which has a nutty coco flavor. I know there have got to be many more out there.
Should I choose a tabacco flavor? It may be difficult for my father to jump from the smell of tabacco to fruit flavor.

I'm 55 and once I found my nicotine level I put my cigarettes down. It was shocking how easy it was. Most pipe tobaccos have some sort of flavor to them. I'd look for a flavor of e juice which could somewhat resemble his tobacco. Personally I went away from all tobacco flavors, because the sweet and fruits appealed to me much more. Going to a local vape shop to try the samples is a good start. You'll also need 2 batteries of some type, because when the one you use needs recharged you don't want to reach for tobacco. I would also purchase some extra cartomizers or tanks, it's easier to switch flavors that way, and coils do need to be replaced occasionally. Do you have a budget in mind for your father? Knowing the budget can help the forum users give more specific advice. In the long run it can be way cheaper, but in starting you do have some output for proper start up. Good luck!
Thanks. I guess I will choose a tobacco flavor.
Can you advise me what should I choose for whole set of e-cig, such as what kind of mod, cartomizer, or charger, and battery?

Your father will most likely be able to switch over. I was skeptical of life long smokers his age converting but have been proven wrong again and again. Just the other day an older gentleman at work asked me how to fill his tank without spilling "nicotine" everywhere. He started vaping because he wants to save money over cigarettes which in my experience is a good point for most people to switch.

You could try taking him to a local shop and finding a flavor he likes. Although, he may have to visit a few since they all have different selections.

The istick 30 and the nauty mini are great choices. switching is easy and tough at the same time. make sure he has a good nic level to curve cravings. the istick is really easy to use, but i would make sure to learn a lot and give him a good crash course so that he doesn't struggle with it and give up. Ive only been off reg. cigs for a month, but i have found a great place in my local vaping community. make sure he drinks PLENTY of water beacuse PG drys you out. i still struggle with bouts of dry throat.

Happy Vaping!

I hope your dad can quit Mangguo!
I'd say his chances of kicking the ciggs increase tremendously if he took to vaping.
Perhaps you can persuade him to visit the site to read for himself just how well it has worked for many others that got hooked on tobacco like himself.
At his age he may not even realize vaping is an option or effective alternative. Good luck getting him to make the change!

My dad is kind of sticky(if you allow me say that). I guess I will need to buy these staff first and then send this to him, tell hime how to use.
He will have to experience this differences and finally can hopefully to persuade him quiting smoking.

I should not choose a tabacco flavor right? Maybe I need more navigations

If he likes tobacco flavors there's nothing wrong with vaping them. Certain tobacco flavors are much better than others though. There's a lot of bad ones out there. Hurricane offers a pretty good tobacco flavor though, 4 of them I believe. Their sun cured is similar to cigarette tobacco, and they also have a cavendish similar to pipe tobacco. The Hurricane eliquid tobacco flavors really stand out of the crowd.

Hell yeah! If I can do it, that young whipper-snapper of a father of yours sure can.

He has to want to. It would help if he had another that did it, too. There is a joy in just sitting on the sofa with a good flavor. For myself, I wanted it and so I switched overnight.

IF he wants to, then consider:

2 complete units. The Mod/battery unit and a clearomizer. The second one is a back-up. I kept mine in the car because I am always near that. I would get a mod that has an internal battery that charges like a phone. The cable will come with it.

Juice - I would take him to a vape shop and let him try flavors for free. Then get 5 x 10ml bottles of juice that he accepts and has been sitting on the shelf for 2-3 weeks. Juice is like wine, it gets better when the juice components "meld" with each other. I would recommend 24mg of nic in each bottle. Some shops mix the flavor right on the spot and it usually doesn't taste right.

Also, for juices, sampler packs would be ideal.

For the mod/battery I would look at the iStick 30w (watt).

For the clearomizer, I would look to a Aspire Nautilus mini and extra coils.

If you are in China, I would get on the internet and go to Fasttech. They are based in China.

If he makes it a hobby, he will appreciate it much more.

Happy vaping!

Some people prefer to start out with a tobacco flavor because it's something familiar and then move on to non tobacco flavors. I don't think it would have mattered to me as long as the liquid had a good flavor.

I agree wholeheartedly...when I started tobacco flavor is all I wanted.

Within a week it was the only juice I didn't want.

Firstly... Hi Mangguo, Welcome to ECF.
I just want to say that the level of selflessness I've seen here is incredible... not only from you and your determination to help your father, but the responses as well. Cudos to everyone! That's what we are all about here!

Hello everyone. I just registered in this forum.
I am a girl, and I don't smoke(well, have smoked sometime but jst for fun)
I am here because I want to learn something about e-cig, and try to help my father quit smoking.

A intorduction about my father.
He is addicated to smoking and there was a time he needed to smoke two packs a day.
For the mement he is smoking with pipe tobacco which has done a lot of harm to his health.

I was wondering how does his lung look like after all these years smoking. By the way, he is 55 years old and have been smoking since 16.

Everybody, Just tell me, is there still chance for my father to quit smoking with the help of E-cig? What should I choose to buy for a smoker like my father?
I am really concerned of his health and worried a lot now.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
The hardware recommendations are great! I was just curious if you know what kind of tobacco is his favorite? Does he still prefer cigarette, or has he developed a taste for the pipe tobacco?
There are some incredible Tobacco juices out there... I'm a hard-core tobacco vaper and I prefer NET's (Naturally Extracted Tobacco). To me and a large number of tobacco loving vapers around here, there is nothing better than a quality NET in the tank.

With that said... if he still appreciates cigarette, there are some great tasting cig-vapes here...
Cigarette-style e-Liquids
My personal favorites are Pipe Tobaccos such as the Black Cavendish styles... very aromatic, some sweetness and smokiness with a nice vanilla-ish aroma.
Pipe Tobacco e-Liquids

The only issue with NET's is they are notoriously "Gunky" on coils and wicks... they need to be changed out or cleaned up twice as quickly as you would with a arti-bacco.

As it's been said already, starting out with something that your father is familiar with such as a tobacco should at least get him interested in the idea of vaping. Then if he starts to get more involved, there is an unlimited array of flavors and styles that he can experiment with as he progresses! The first important step is to get him interested... I hope he's willing to listen to you and give it a fair shot, then we can go from there!
Good luck and keep us posted in the future! :thumb:
