Hello, I've been lurking on the site for a couple of weeks now and figured it was time to sign up. I am new to the vapor world and I have to say, its a huge place. I am currently a 2+ pack a day smoker and am for now hoping to cut that significantly. Quitting the "analogs" all together would be best but I'm taking baby steps for now.

I started researching e-cigs and vapes a few days ago thinking I would just order something and be on my way. Its just not that easy. The choices are endless and getting educated can be a bit overwhelming. Not wanting to spend a fortune to get started, I finally decided on the Kangertech EVOD starter kit. I also ordered up a couple of different strengths of [FONT=arial, sans-serif]Casablanca Blend as Camels have been my analog of choice for over 20 years. I'm not sure on the strength I will want so I went with the 24 mg and 18 mg for now. I'll give them a go when they arrive and change things up as I see fit.

So thats where I am at right now, anxious to get started and will continue to read through the forums.

Thanks for having me,
Denis

to ecf KC1BLE . So glad you are here and congrats on your decision to give vaping a try. I think it is wonderful and it is the only thing that has ever helped me. I did both for a good while and it just got to the point where I preferered vaping. Hope it is just as easy for you. Sounds like you are off to a good start. Joining here is the best thing you could have done because there are always people here that want to help and are so wonderful. It is also a pretty good suppport group if you have any problems or need encouragement. Good luck to you and have fun.

Thanks for all the welcomes, I can already tell I'm gonna like it here. I too can't wait to get off the analogs but for now I'll be happy cutting back.

Anyone using the Kangertech EVOD? Is there anything I will need to know when it arrives. I'm very anxious, like a little kid before Christmas. From what I could cipher out of the reviews, this is one of the most used starter kits so it seemed like a great choice. I'm a pretty heavy smoker so hopefully I'm not disappointed.

Welcome Denis! I too was smoking 2+ pad, and quit very quickly with the evod kit. The key is to find a juice that you enjoy, and that will keep you away from the smokes.
If you have a local vape shop where you can try out some different flavors it's a big help. It's worth a drive if you don't have anything nearby.
The two batteries that came with your kit (I'm assuming two) should be enough to vape for a full day even if there isn't a charger available. Eventually you will need an alternative as those batteries weaken with age. You'll have time to do the research before you need to make that move.
The key is to have something that works readily at hand so that you don't reach for another smoke. If I can do it you can too.
Best of luck to you!
