Hello all,

First off I would like to say Wow am I glad I found this site! I have pick up some great info here.

[My story so far]

So about a month ago wile browsing the web I come across a ad or someone talking about a Blu e-cig. I cant remember exactly but somehow landed on there web site and started reading. seemed like a great answer to analog cigarettes. Not knowing a thing about e-cig's at this point. Reduced the bad crap inhaled and perhaps save some cash as well. And seeing that my Mother pasted away a little over a year ago from lung cancer, I would try to quit smoking again or at the very least move to a less harmful way of smoking. So I ordered a Blu starter kit and few extra carts.

So wile I waited for it to arrive. (took a bit over two weeks to be shipped) I found this site and couldn't believe how big e-cig's are. I really had no idea at all.

So now I have been using the Blu for a week or so now and I like the idea of a e-cig but not the Blu so much. Yes its a good place to start with e-cigs and its a slick looking kit. I like the size and it works ok I guess. nothing to compare to as this is my first e-cig. tried all the flavors and I really like the classic tobacco it tastes like Drum rolling tobacco. However after a week of use one of the batteries no longer holds a charge and as I write this I think the usb charger dongle may be acting up as well, the LED seems to have broken. so all in all it's just ok. don't know if it would be something I would recommend to a good friend though.

So I learned that there are options to what you use to fill your e-cig, from this forum. (thanks!) and I ordered a Johnson creek sample kit. I liked the tastes and ordered a couple more larger bottles of flavors i liked. they ship fast and really seem like they make (in the USA!) a quality juice. but eventually I think ill be mixing my own, to cut costs further.

At this point you can probably see I made the decision to go all in on the e-cig's / vaping thing. =) And resumed the reading frenzy. I had thought of going the route of making my own e-cig, but decided against it for now and just to get a very good quality one for now.

I did a lot more reading again =) And found PureSmoker makes a quality devises and is made in the USA as well. (you have to support your homeland commerce in these troubled times as much as possible.) I ordered a Protege and a Manual USBpass two days ago, both in the 510 version addy's. Yup like i said I am going all in on vaping and a figured getting both Ill have a high volt option and a lower voltage portable option. and with the addy adapters for both I can see both lasting a lifetime. hopefully they are not to backlogged and they ship quickly.

Well thats my story thus far. Thanks for stopping by but i need to read up on DIY juice recipes and supplies. =)

I'm glad you liked vaping after dealing with blu and johnson creek!
I've heard a lot of complaints about blu, and johnson creek's new batch of juices. I mean, I like the stuff I got in the sample pack, but once I tried the RY4 at myfreedomsmokes, it's tough to go back to, and I still have about 30ml of it left...

But yes, this forum is great, very informative, and lots of interesting topics.

I hope you enjoy your new set up, I'm sure you will!

Welcome! I think you made an excellent choice. The Protege is a regular vape around here and I just ordered the USB passthru myself. My other favorite ecig is the Bartleby a box mod in 510 - uses the same battery type as the Protege and blasts out the vapor too. You won't need it, but as long as you went mod already (you may or may not know how good a move that is ;-) ...you might consider it for later.....

Dongle? haven't read that here. You in the video, graphics business?

I was just thinking the same thing, "Be sure to hang you dongle!" In case anyone is wondering a dongle refers to a hardware key to a piece of software. They normaly look like a USB flash drive. I've called flash drives dongles before just because I think it's a funny word...

Welcome to the forums Ack. I've found this place indispensable as well. So much information, so little time...

The blank look on there face was priceless. =)
