I got my first little kit in mid December and quickly came to understand that a passthrough would be better for my weekdays. I drive between 3k and 5k miles per month. I'm still having trouble with reaching for and using analogs, but I think that is because the juices I bought are too low in nicotine.

I thought I had registered previously, but I guess I hadn't. I've been lurking daily since late October.

Does anyone know how quickly I am allowed to hit my first five posts? There is a user selling liquids and I would like to PM him to take them off of his hands, but I can't send PMs until I have five posts here.

Thanks!

Welcome Tresgay! I have a Passthru for my Saber Touch VV and use it almost all throughout the day. I've been told to not plug it into my computer or anything that may not give it a constant stream of the proper voltage. I don't know what the consensus on using it with a car/automobile would be. I'm sure someone will say so.

As for reaching for analogs, I smoke 2-3 analogs per week still (I started in December too). They make me sick to my stomach because they taste so bad. Eventually, as you slow down on the analogs, you'll just not WANT to smoke analogs anymore. I'm pretty much at that point, because I light my analog then realize after I light it that I don't even like it.

I don't think there is any real spam filter on posts, just make sure you're actually contributing with what you post. Just like any other forum.

There are many users here who sell their own juice, as well as lots of websites that do. I personally pick most of my juice up from Kokomo Pure Vapors here in Indiana, as opposed to dealing with the internet.

Take care and happy vaping!

Hi Retriever,

The car and hotel rooms were always the issue for me. Since starting vaping I've only stayed in non-smoking hotels. They smell a LOT nicer! I still struggle a bit with the car, but being home with my smoking gf is the hardest right now. I was doing fine until I visited my SUPER SMOKING mother for a few days over Christmas. I caved in a big way and am wobbily getting back to where I was before that visit.

Thanks for the welcome!

Hello, DietSalem!

I have a power inverter (aka power transformer) in my car that has a USB port in it. I was going to use that for the passthrough, but the voltage (?) seems to be inconsistent. So I use the passthrough in a converter plugged into the cigarette lighter - that seems to have a smoother, more consistent power output.

I wish I had a vendor in town, but I don't. There is a vendor where my mom lives in Richmond, but his juice makes my throat close up so I can't use his. I think that eventually I would like to mix my own using bases that already have the nicotine in them. I don't want to work with cutting down super high nic content - I'm excellent at math and chemistry, but I'm afraid of making a mistake and getting sick. I'll leave the handling of nicotine to the experts!
