Just thought I would say hello, I've been doing a bit of research about e-cigs this last week.

I was planning on stopping smoking entirely but this seems a better option.

I have cut down from my usual 20 a day to between 3 and 10 a day but can't go without for too long a period..

I have just about decided to get the

WHITE Mini ecig Starter Pack with ORANGE LEDs DSE901
from E-Cigs.co.uk.

Does this seem a generally well received switch from regular cigarettes?

Should I just order the starter pack or get some spares with it? I'm not sure how long it will last, but also don't want to spend too much money.

One of the main reason's for quitting was to save some cash.

I'm new also and I only have 1 e cig (pilot from puresmoker.com) I am very happy with that. So, my opinion doesn't matter all that much. But, what I do know is that your forum handle is AWESOME!

The DSE-901 seems to be a board favorite at the moment, and the fact you have already cut down so much, I don't think you need much more than that.

not a bad decision KS. most people recommend a 901 for first timers to see if it suits you. Personally, I prefer the pens as they hold more liquid. You might want to add in an extra atomizer as you only get one with the kits. I would get a few carts too in different flavours or empties (if he sells them) and a bottle of liquid. His Riskee yuice is good. I think he sells an econo kit which is the same kit without the box and instructions (downloadable from his site) for a few quid less.

get starter and buy spare parts...

atomizers are very much so "consumables"

for a heavy smoker you'll go thru approx one a week...give or take as there are no definates on the timetable...

heavy usage = battery needing charging approx every two hours... again give or take for the same reasons... so plan on getting one or two extra if you're heavy smoking now...

GREAT idea to get some eliquid.... much cheaper to top off than buy new carts every few days LOL... dont believe the hype...one cart does NOT = 20 cigs..

at first your costs will be a bit high..but to keep the cancer causing agents of analogs out it's worth it..and the cost cuts down once you find your "rythm" and understand what/when you need in extra parts..

in the long run you'll get out of ecigs what you put into them

the edit is that the atomizers last AROUND two weeks..not one.. altho they CAN go bad sooner....

I'll have a look in more detail once I have fully woken up (it's 6am here).

I think i'll order the starter pack, some juice and a couple of atomizers, and see how it goes. Delivery is free from the site so I can make another order once I have tried it.

Cheers for that dc2k08 but I thought you meant for the DSE901 i think that is what i'll go for.

Who know's down the line I may change my mind though....

A quick question though has anybody tried the "Euro-Blend e-juice"?

I wanted to go for a regular tobacco one but nearly all others are sold out

Also is the 24mg really strong? Unfortunately the lower graded stuff is mostly gone except fruit/chocolate types.

have not tried it no. be interested as to what it tastes like. 24 is strong enough to be honest. if you've cut down to 3-10 cigs a day 24mg liquid will probably make you more addicted to nicotine especially as you can tend to vape an e-cig all day - at least I do when I'm not active but if you manage to only vape on and off - 24 will give you that hit you need when you need it. that said it seems to be different for everyone. you got to find your own level. I vape 18 now after finding the higher ones too much but plan on stepping down further..it's nearly always hanging off my lips.
