I have four X2's, 2 900mah and 2 1300mah. I would suggest a T3 in your kit. Clearos are good, but the T3 holds more juice and the heads can be replaced.

I have a twist as well. I do like the functionality, but what I don't like is that I have to have two sets of everything. SI products are 808 threaded. Everything they make, less the T3 all fits together. The T3 must be powered by the X2 battery.

SI has excellent customer service. You won't be disappointed if you order from them.

After looking at all these suggestions, right now I'm leaning toward the smokeless image X2 batteries - probably one 900mAh and one 650mAh and the X2 clearos. Price point seems good, I like the color options (I'm still a girl...), and I like the included charger with the X2 batteries with passthrough capabilities. Seems like everything I'm looking for right now.

I'll probably place my order later on this weekend unless anyone says STOP, WAIT, NO, DON'T!!!!

If you were even considering a Twist or Spinner I'd skip the Smokeless Image. I always recommend it for beginners, and I spent 8 months on them, and I loved them, and I ignored people that said to get other things, BUT:

1. No variable voltage, which means no way to change the "feel" of your vape with different heads. On the up side, their voltage is controlled to stay level while the battery discharges, so the vape does not change.

2. There are two main families of vape stuff: 808, usually voltage-controlled, and 510, EITHER not voltage-controlled or variable voltage. SI is 808. Blu and eGos are 510. You can put your Blu stuff on the eGo and vice-versa. Adapters do exist, but do not work with automatic batteries.

3. Next year you'll probably be on 510's. Most equipment for the top of the vape is 510.

I recommend against the kGo vv because it has a proprietary charging cord that you cannot replace, and one of my 2 cords has died.

I do sometimes use my X2's with adapters with vivi Novas, but only if the resistance is 2.4 (medium) not 2.8 (standard, and a bit too cool for me on a 3.7-volt controlled device.)

Hello Kac12 and welcome. I'm new too, just bought an eGo Twist and love it. The manual battery is great because it is (mostly) sealed - there can be a concern of ruining the battery if you get juice in the top of an automatic battery. It was one thing I considered making an initial purchase. I would recommend getting small amounts of as many flavors of juice as you can, and get some that you might not think will work. I found that getting a juice flavor I like was more difficult than expected. All of the delivery systems are subjective, but I am using bottom coil clearomizers - it seemed like an "easy for now" solution, and I recommend it. I did, however, buy a few different kinds so that I could try out different solutions. Good Luck!

welcome aboard, and welcome to what we all faced at one time or another.... "I wanna upgrade".

$100 gives you some good options. eGO is a good choice as well as some money left over for cartos and juice....

Also if you're fairly handy you might try to build a puck (MOD PV) that you can build for under $20 worth of parts.

I'd suggest to go with a a bigger battery like an eGO rather than the slim ones. It might take a week to get used to it (and to having to press a button) but you will not regret it. Most of the slim line automatic ones are on the charger more often than in your hand. Since you mentioned battery life in your original post it might be something you'd want to look into. For me a 650 Mah (lower "average" battery) I can get almost a full day's use out of compared with something like the Blu (which I had a year or two so back) which would be dead after using it for one break at work.

Most important is to do what's right for you. Listen to folks here, weigh your options, and spend your money. I think everyone here has made a few "ut-ohs" when it comes to vaping. Nice community here and they helped me out when I was starting out. I was looking for a cigarette sized unit way back when as well and after hearing from a bunch of folks I went with a thicker battery.... I also was looking for a tobacco flavor (no one has a juice that tastes like burning vegetable matter). I got some samples of diffident flavors from different companies and from some folks I met on here.... Actually my two regular vapes are a smokey/nutty/caramel flavor and a tropical fruit punch/apple blend.

Oh yeah and if worst comes to worse and you run out of juice some time, if you have a battery that has a 510 connection you can run out and buy some of the Blu cartos while waiting for your mail to come (I have done that a once or twice).


Oh I mentioned Mah (miliamp hours). It's a battery rating, sort of how long it holds a charge. Rule of thumb is that 100Mah equals about an hour of use. It's a rule of thumb so it is not exact.

The biggest thing I'm looking for right now is refillable and battery life, and I think the X2 provide both of those things for me. If the battery lasts ~1hr/100mAh, then just one 650mAh X2 would get me through a whole day right now anyway.

That worked for me. BTW, for future reference, the way you use a variable voltage setup is to set it to 3.7 volts (easy to do) so you are vaping it as though it were an X2, then try cranking it up a little or down a little and see if you like that taste.

I hope things work out well for you. I wish that I had found this forum before I got started, there's so much very good advice here.

Personally, I do like to have a few of the long cigarette sized batteries and matching cartomizers for when I'm out and about. Just lets me feel less conspicuous, I suppose.

I know last time I checked they have some converts from one type of fitting to another (say the 510/808). I'm not affiliated with them but know I saw them there.

The voltage does make a difference in your hit (flavor and heat wise). I have a set of vGo a set of eGo and a puck mod I made. All three are at different voltage but I trade out between them.... reminds me I need to go back in and see if I have a loose connection or if the button is screwed up on the puck.

*lol* Some folks do give funny looks when you're out vaping. More and more though people are asking if it is an e-cig and how well it works.

I've gotten pulled over and have the cop shine his flashlight on them a few times. Basically told him what it was before he asked. I also carry the instruction book with me in case I get stopped and a cop thinks it is for a shady purpose.

For home use I like my puck, a tank, or a pass through. I've actually started to use the pass through in the car (powerport/usb converter).

I would bet Smokeless Image got the Spinner-makers to switch the little top fitting for these, so they should behave like any other Spinner. And SI's customer service is top-notch. Sometimes they get buried for a few days, but that is the worst I've ever heard about them, and it usually only happens when they have a big rush on a new product or if a popular color comes back in stock.

Yup, I checked out the SI forum on here and it seems that it is BRAND new, like went live within the last three days or so! It's compatible with the T3, too, so I think that may be the route I'm headed, an X2 and a Spinner from SI.

Well, the X2 manual batt, T3s, and vanilla juice came today. So far, I'm absolutely loving this setup. Such a great step up from the Blu. Side note, though, I'm really glad I went with the 12mg juice, cause it's giving me more of a head rush than I ever got with even the "high" nic Blu carts. Holy cow, it's like the first time I ever smoked a cigarette. This may just put me off the chain vaping I have had a tendency to do when I'm home for long stretches.

i too started with a blu it lasted me a week and the i bought a 1300mah vision twist it was a great difference from the blu wish i had never bought the blu i think it was a waste of money but it did geet me to quit so i guess it did its job

Hey there - I've been lurking for a while to research and consider options and am now brand new to vaping. Thanks to all in this forum, btw- so much information and everyone seems so helpful.

I have a very limited history so far, but I started with an ego C-twist based on so many things I read. Got that with a Tabac (Kanger T3 knockoff, but my B&M didn't carry the Kanger) and mostly I love it!

For me, however, in many instances it is too big, heavy and unwieldly. (Driving, for example, or when I'm out on the balcony with my laptop and a cigarette - like now).

I got the Joyetech eRoll in the mail today, and so far it is perfect for what I need in these situations. It's cigarette-sized, so I can keep it between 2 fingers or in my mouth while my hands are briefly occupied. Can still use ejuices, the vapor production and flavor for the size are pretty damn great.
It's got a short battery life, but it comes with a PCC in an iPhone style-case, but even smaller, so you can pop it in there and re-charge.

If you're looking for the weight and size of a cigarette, this is wonderful. (Again, this is based on my very thus-far limited experience, but tons of research). Just be prepared to carry juice or extra carts with you.

Welcome to ECF and the wonderful world of vaping...
Most vendors will tell you to go for a starter kit... dont bother you will waste money.
Get a eGo vv (SLB eGo vv is my favourite, but you can go for eGo twist as well)
get a T3 Kanger/Vivi Nova
get some replacement coils
and dont forget some delicious e-juices
You should be good.

I started with blu and they did me same way was not enough so I went back to smoking. I found Ego Twist and I actually laid them down and have been smoke free for 45 days............Ego is definately the way to go.
