Hello everyone! I found this great forum and joined tonight. I've decided to take the plunge and get off the analogs after having tried the Blu disposable for the past few days. Unfortunately, I've already ordered my first PV which should be here tomorrow. I say unfortunately because the model I ordered is a Firebrand Diablo Falcon Cartomizer Kit. I've been reading some of the other posts on here mentioning that the Diablo Falcon is a rebranded Ego? I'm starting to worry that it might be inferior to a model from Liberty Flights, Joye, etc... Should I be concerned?

Thanks and glad to be here!

Thanks for your responses! It sounds like I should be okay. If the cartomizers aren't good I suppose I could use a different brand. A 650mAh is all I need if it lasts a day, and two of them come with the kit. It's so overwhelming to delve into vaping for the first time, because there are so many choices, that no matter what I picked the first time it might not even be right for me. But, I'm pretty sure the manual is for me as the automatic gets quite annoying. So many Personal Vaporizers and juices, so little time... :matrix:

Here's to a healthy analog free life! :toast:

Hi....im new too....what's an Ego? Btw u will be happy to lose the yuck mouth either way u go on the pv (I really need to review the abbreviation section cuz post from phone and can't hover over the abbreviations to find out what they mean).

I'm not quite sure how to explain it to someone else yet, and not sure the best link to send you to. Kinda new. Heh..

To keep it as simple as I can (cause that's how I like things, LOL), an eGo is a larger & more reliable battery than the gas station models or those you might find at a mall kiosk (not to mention less expensive to purchase AND maintain). To my understanding, a 650 mah batt will last you maybe 6 hours. A 900 mah batt (also available in eGo/kGo/__Go generic kits) will last you around 9 hrs. There are also 1100 mah eGo batts = 11ish hours. I don't know if that's really why they named/numbered them like that, but that's how it seems to work. The larger mah capacity, the longer the battery will run.

And if I'm totally off-base, I'm sure a knowledgable & friendly veteran vaper will be along to help out shortly. :pop:

Welcome to ECF! You definitely came to the right place for help!

Assuming it's 6 hours of total vaping time, that might even last me a day and a half or two. I can't imagine having the atomizer running for a total of six hours in less than a day. But, I wouldn't know that yet. :D

What that amounts to is a sort of "rule of thumb": "each 100mAh = approx. 1 hr. *average* use", or something like that. OTOH all thumbs are not created equal. What is being measured here is amperage, or electrical current capacity of the battery, in milliamp hours. So the above "rule" is based upon the assumption the average vaper will use around 100 milliamps during an average hour of vaping (if *I* understand this correctly; if not I presume someone will be along soon to correct me).

OTOH there are a great number of variables playing into the amount of current you will actually use, so I wouldn't put much stock in this as a practical guideline, just ballpark figure at best.

Okay, I see. If two people are given a battery each of the same model, most likely one will run it down faster/slower than the other.

Thanks! :vapor:

Thank you! :)

Exactly, and for different reasons. Of course one person will vape more often and somewhat differently than the other. Then one may use low resistance cartomizers at, say 1.7 Ohms and the other may use standard res. 2.5 or 3.0 Ohms. These variables make a considerable difference in the vaping experience; they also make quite a difference in consumption of both battery power and e-liquid. (I'm using the above cartos as examples only; there are lots of other options available for your PV, as you will soon discover. Be prepared to be amazed!)

Blessings, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Be prepared to become obsessed and for your wallet to start feeling lighter and try not to stalk your mailman haha. Good luck on quitting the cancer sticks!:toast:

Too late for this newbie...I'm obsessed. HAHA! Can't get enough of all the info that is provided on this forum.

Been cancer stick-free for about 4-5 months.
