Hi,
Just started a month ago with some disposable ecigs and I'm looking for some help to purchase a starter pack. My first impression is that there's a lot of stuff to become familiar with. I fell like I should take a class. Ohms & coils, & carts & attys............WOW!
I've bought a bunch of different disposables which ranged from very satisfying to garbage. Of the disposables, my favorite by far was the natural tobacco "Blu" gigs but they're inconsistent as hell. One cig might taste great and last 2 days while the next one might taste like air and only last a couple of hours. At least to start I'd like the simplest kit that has as close to an anolog experience (size & taste) as possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Welcome to ECF , you might want to look at some sort of Ego kit , or better yet ( price wise ) a Riva kit from Liberty Flight's , or who ever . Or you could just order a couple Ego "Twists" , or "Spinners" , and maybe a few mini Vivi-nova's and try out some various juices . The nicotine amount will depend on how much you smoked . If 2 packs a day , you might need 18 or 24 mg , if only one pack a day , maybe even a 12 mg , might work . You will probably have to try different strenghts out , to see which work for you . And if you don't like tanks ( Vivi-Nova's ) you could buy some regular low to standard resistance cartos ( I use Boge's ) and put your own juice in them . You can get them prefilled , but they cost alot more . Good luck .

If you're looking for cig-alikes, there are a number of options. The Volt by Smokeless Image is very popular around here, and they have a number of options for upgrades. The eRoll or the eMini are also pretty popular for cig-alikes. I've heard good things about the Sidesho by Modern Vapor. And the Colibri Nano/Micro at epuffer is exactly the size of a real cigarette, if that's what you're looking for.

I can't help you any on taste as I only vape menthol.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum~!

As Renzuli said, you might want to step up a bit in size if you're unsatisfied with the performance of the mini's you've tried and get something slightly bigger. There are some good KR808's (mini similiar to the Blu)if you want to stick with that for the time being.

Most people find they get better results if you purchase empty cartomizer and fill them yourself. It's very easy to do and you get a better vape.

I second the suggestion of ego twists or a similar variable voltage model and vivi minis. For juice, that's really a matter of personal preference... My favorites are: vanilla mint from Virgin Vapor, D's all day from Vapealicious Juice, strawberry lemonade from Highbrow, and my own peach recipe that I make myself. My friend recently converted to vaping and her favorite is torque 56 from Halo.

Here's a kit to make it simple. I know it can be overwhelming to try and buy a million different pieces.
ego twist & mini vivi nova kit The difference between 650 and 1000 mah is the 650 is shorter in length and battery life.

The only thing you'd need in addition to that is one or more spare vivi minis and some extra heads. I wouldn't go on a juice buying spree from sweet-vapes. Maybe try a couple flavors just so you have something when your kit arrives, but do sample juices from many different vendors... it can take some searching before you find your favorites.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I appreciate that. I don't want to ignore all the advice but it seems that most of these kits are advanced. I was thinking of something simpler to start with. It seems the V2 cigs have almost universally positive reviews and the starter kit is very straightforward " Electronic Cigarette Kits | Standard Kit | V2 Cigs "
Do you think this might be a suitable starting point?

About the same as the Volt starter kits really. Same basic batteries and cartomizers even. A lot of people have used V2 and loved them. For less than that kit, you could get this one from Smokeless Image, add a second pack of cartomizers and you're saving $10.

Whichever way you go you can't really go wrong.

Good luck.

I just got a Vivi Nova and ego twist battery and this delivers both the nicotine and the throat hit I require.

I would recommend ordering a bunch of 5/10 ml tobacco flavs and see what you like, I have just started on vanilla and coconut, my first venture into non tobacco flavs, vanilla was very sweet, however have been puffing away on the coconut for hours now and its good.

A major issue that I have with V2 is once you decide to upgrade your gear (and you will within 1 month), that company offers no upgrades worth your money.

At least with Smokeless Image, you can upgrade to the larger x2 batteries (an 808-threaded eGo battery) for longer time between battery charges.

For the long term investment, Smokeless Image is the best deal.
