Hello, it's my first time here. I came across this forum because this past few weeks i've been researching and reading on how to properly use my kit. My kit by the way is innokin iTaste 134 Mini. Is it safe for newbies to use this kind of kit? My uncle gave this to me so it would help me to quit smoking :). Anyways looking forward to have fun on this community. Thank you!

welcome to ecf,the iTaste 134Mini is regulated so as long as you got a good battery should be
fine. here's a link about it if interested.
iTaste 134 Mini | Vaporizer - Innokin

Thank you sir!.. And oh about the battery, im definitely confused on what to use on my device, according to the manual i should use an "IMR" high drain 18350/18500 batt. But what is exactly is "IMR" is it a brandname or something. So far i found "LG Choco" and a "Smurf" batt, according to the seller. But im still confused if its okay to use on of those, or which is best on my unit. Ive asked this to the seller but his answer is not clear. :/

Welcome to the ECF. IMR is a simply a description of the cathode material of the battery and not a brand...IMR refers to Lithium-Ion Manganese Rechargeable.

Any high quality battery of the type specified for you device will suffice. I usually stick to Sony, Samsung, Panasonic but there are others that are equally acceptable. The price difference is usually not more than a few dollars so I don't skimp.

It's SAFE with a good quality battery.

As it does not take 18650 batteries, I would highly recommend you NOT to invest in new batteries for it and put the money towards something else.

I feel very strongly about this - so often new vapers have a device that only takes 18350 batteries, buy 2 or 3 new ones and then regret it as 18350s have a very short run-time and you might get frustrated and only end up buying an 18650 mod anyway.

I bought 3 x AW 18350s for my Lavatube (mini), what a waste that was. I should have put the money towards a new mod instead.

Hmmm Yes SteveS45 i found out that those are generic batteries, so i've passed on that local seller who sells that here in our place :3 BTW i bought 2 smurf batteries and 2 LG Choco.. and can't wait to go home to try it...

Well I guess this is an instance of a first impression. I was not trying to knock them I was only offering an opinion which turned out to be correct. Good Luck!
