Hi guys!

I am a 35 year old guy from England and I come to you for your more knowledgeable advice!

After realising I was basically asking for cancer, by smoking over 20 superking cigarettes a day, I have had a positive result from an ecig.

In the past week I have had my ileaf battery, aspire clearomizer set up, with 12mg eliquid....

I was amazed I had managed to get down to 7 cigarettes a day for the last three days. I could finally breathe! I felt amd smelt better, all good so far, was wondering why I had not done this sooner...

Today, I dont realky know why but something happened with my ecig, it was leaking, the coil burnt bright red and the vapour, rather than come through smooth, bubbled and tasted like the liquid was getting on my lip. I knew it was leaking from the bottom, so cleaned ot all out, dried everything, put it back together, was worse than ever, so just got my sister to pick up a new clearomizer and atomizer...that is not the problem though!

For the last five hours, I have had MASSIVE anxiety. Feel awful, heart racing, dizzy, tension right through my body. Etc etc...

Is this :

(a) a reaction to the nicotine I probably got in my mouth...

(b) a reaction to not having my ecog for six hours, like is this anxiety some major craving thing? Smoking a cigarette did little to ease it!

(c) other :-(

Seriously dont want to stop vaping, I dont want to smoke so many cigarettes, I had been feeling good until today :-( what can I do guys?

It seems like too much nicotine but 12mg is not all that high. I doubt it was caused by your coil spitting liquid. You might try a lower nic level or weaken what you have with some straight vg.

These things can be caused by many factors. Simple withdrawal. Too much nic. Etc.

I had some issues balancing vaping (nicotine) with caffeine and sugar. I had to cut my nic level and my caffeine and sugar intake.

Thank you for the advice, I hadnt had any caffeine when the anxiety started, I temd to drink a few pints of Pepsi max in an evening though!

Its now about 8 hours since I last vaped and I still feel really tense and light headed, I have smoked quite afew cigarettes now and feel a bit crappy

I dont want to stop vaping, but I dont want to feel this anxiety feeling either :-/

Does turning the voltage/wattage up and down effect how much nicotine you are ingesting? (sorry if that is astupid question!!!)

I disagree slightly about the nicotine. 12mg isn't a tiny amount-- not that high either-- and the symptoms you describe do sound a lot like being over-nic'ed, but I'm also no doctor. It seems like it's been going on a little long for that but you also had cigarettes. I would really try avoiding any nicotine as long as you can just to see if that helps at all.

Turning the power up or down on the same coil/atomizer/topper won't affect how much nicotine you're ingesting other than potentially altering the amount of juice you're using slightly over time, which will ultimately give you more or less nicotine over the course of an hour or more.

hi @SmokingShineOn and welcome to the forum. I have read where getting juice in the mouth can cause an issue like you describe. I also know that going without the ecig for 6 hours can cause the same craving as if you had been 6 hours without a cig. Some of it can be caused by concern over not having the ecig because you do know it is going to get you off the cigs.

You can beat the cigs with your vape. I also started at 12 mg (Aspire Nautilus). One of the main rules to success is to have a back up. It doesn't have to be an expensive setup, but what most people do is upgrade from what they have and use the older one for the back up. It really does suck when something goes wrong and you feel you have to resort to the cigs again instead of another vape gear set.

It's difficult to guess what may have gone wrong with your current gear without knowing the model name (like Aspire Nautilus or Aspire Atlantis). Another point is these two tanks I named would also be used with different levels of nicotine in most cases.

Don't be shy about asking questions, there are many here to help.

Thank you! I think its probably a combination, I had been hitting the ecig quite a bit (even smoking a cigarette then having a few drags on the ecig) and I definitely got some liquid in my mouth...

I feel a bit better than I did before, just feel tired, I cant use the ecig till tomorrow now anyway, I am just going to treat it like a cigarette and have set times to inhale, rather than toke on it constantly!

I am a very neurotic person, and anxious naturally, so now im anxious about using it again!

The thing is. I have had a good week on it! So whatever happened to break it today and make it not work right is probably the problem! So im going to be very careful when I get the new clearomizer tomorrow!

Hang in there, you'll be an expert on your personal vape gear in no time. You can get too much nicotine and make yourself sick. I used the search box in the upper right of every page for this one :
Search Results for Query: nicotine sick | E-Cigarette Forum[node]=39

When I first quit I dual used for 8 days then hit my nic level and it was all over after that. Next week makes a year off the stinkys for me and it won't be long and you'll be counting the months like many of us do.

Relax, enjoy the vape and you'll be fine.
