First, I'd like to say hello and show my gratitude for a site like this. I found this forum the day before I ordered my starter kit (Joye 510) and it helped with a lot of decisions.
I got my kit on Christmas Eve, and haven't had a real smoke since about 10PM that day.
I really hope the health benefits of switching are true, and eventually I'll be able to quit completely!

On to the question:

How is the nicotine content calculated in the refill bottles?
I read here that they make cartridges with up to 30mg of nicotine, but I've got a bottle that could easily fill 30 carts and it says 30mg as well.

Is the 30mg just an estimate? 8 drops = about 30mg(assuming 8 drops will fill a cart)? Or is it 30mg for the entire 10ml bottle?

I can also get a 5ml bottle at 30mg nicotine. Is that twice per volume? I guess the answers to the above questions will answer this...

Thanks in advance! :vapor:

If you're trying to do calculations in order to compare how much nicotine you are getting, it is a waste of time.
We do not get the same absorption from electronic cigarettes that we do from regular cigarettes.

Some studies say we get as little as 10% of the nicotine from vaping.
Others see flaws with those studies, and think it may be as much as 40% absorption.

The bottom line is no one knows for sure at this point.

It's 30mg per milliliter (ml.) So every milliliter in that bottle contains 3.0% nicotine. That's a very high nicotine level.

Thank you very much for that.

This is also very good to know, thank you!

*thinking out loud here*

I used to smoke about 1 pack per day which is generally considered about 20-30mg.

Currently I go through 1.5-2 carts per day and use 6-8 drops to refill them.

According to wiki at most, a drop is about 1/12ml

So every day, I vape up to 1ml which is 30mg (with this juice).

From DC2's post, I can see that I'll get a max of 15mg/day which is less than a pack.

Awesome!

Thanks again, everyone!

EDIT: After posting this and refilling a cart, I realize that a juice drop is probably a good bit larger than water, so my calculations are probably a bit off. Just for personal reference, I'll say it's about 10-15mg per cart for me :)
