My shipment of eLiquid just arrived, I have a few quick questions

Hello!

I just got a bottle of 36mg VG Based Nicotine, a bottle of PG and a small bottle of menthol flavoring.

I like my juice very strong (around 28-30mg/ml), but since my nicotine juice is VG based, I usually end up putting in around 80% VG base Nicotine juice, 10% PG and 10% menthol flavoring. This produces a very strong throat hit, but not alot of vapor!

I'm confused as to why this is; I understand that I'm getting a very strong throat hit because of the high nicotine content (and I don't mind, its nice), but why am I getting such a small amount of vapor if I'm using alot of VG?

I am using a blu starter kit and refilling the cartridges, and lately its been getting very hard to pull on the cartridge, so maybe the cartomizer is getting clogged? This would make sense to me since the juice I put in has a consistency similar to honey.

So to all you electronic cigarette connoisseurs out there, what do you think the problem is with my current setup; by this I mean, why is it that if I'm using alot of VG, im not getting big milky hits?
I can post pictures and answer any questions to the best of my knowledge if it helps.

P.S. My friend told me that my cartomizer might be clogged, because its becoming increasingly hard to pull, so maybe all the thick juice has clogged my cartomizer? How do I unclog it?

as far as I know, blu is designed to work with high pg liquids. youre attomizer may be dirty, are they changeable?

Hi and welcome! I think you have a couple of things going: that is an awfully high vg content for that kind of carto; I would say it's not so much clogging as not dispersing if that makes sense. That would also make it hard to draw. Is there a reason you're using so much vg? I don't know what the voltage is on a blu, or the resistance of the cartos, but it also may not be getting warm enough to produce lots of vapor. If you want a strong TH and more vapor you should consider upgrading from the blu.

To much flavoring will definitely decrease the vapor and cause irritation to the lungs and throat, causing you to wheeze when breathing after you vape with too much flavoring.

From what I understand Blu eLiquid is 100% VG so that should work fine in their own cartridges. However, I didn't think they had refillable cartridges. Are you refilling the pre-filled cartridges after they are empty? If so that may not work. Their prefilled cartridges are pretty much disposable cartridges. The atomizer may be toast once it's emptied.

why not try a different kind of battery with some new carts u will get a lot more vapor if u can get away from the look-a-likes try maybe an ego c twist

I don't really like any type of ecig that doesn't look and feel like a normal cigarette, anything else still leaves me craving an analog

I started with blucigs and tried refilling the cartos but it was kind of hit and miss. I ordered some 306 blank cartomizers for around $6 and they worked with the blu battery. Joyetech makes an automatic 510 battery that is only about a half inch longer than the blu and it draws a little smoother. Good luck.
